Either I had a very sad dream last night, or North/South Korea has developed a propaganda ray.

So I was a North Korean in a squad, on Patrol at the southern border.  We were going house to house with a doctor to check on local residents.  Knock knock, no answer.  We open the door and the South Korean fiends all run into the chimney.  After inspecting the chimney, it turned out to be a tunnel to South Korea, (I don't know why it took us so long to figure out considering it was a giant hole in the wall and floor.)  My entire squad rushes into the hole to barricade it, some making comments about how they're going to gas the tunnel with methane.

The doctor and I find the only resident of the house, some beat up chap who claims that South Korea stole his whole family and his dog.  At the mention of dog, somehow his house turns into my grandparents house.  My squad returns from barricading the tunnel - with the mans dog.  They claimed the dog was a spy that led the South Koreans to this house and they were going to gas the dog for it's crime.  The dog, who was visibly sick from acute methane exposure, then emotionally ran - like a person - and hugged the last resident of the house.

"I'm not gonna let them gas you!" the man yelled.

Then I woke up.
The man dared to question the command of General Kim Jong Un??!!

You're right!  The absurdity and improbability of the action triggered my disbelief that this could possibly be the real world, so I woke up.

Okay, things just got a little weirder regarding my situation. Had a semi-lucid (lucid, but on rails) dream in my girlfriend's bed last night, and it was especially vivid. To go from nothing at all to OMFGWAT is...slightly unsettling.

Completely non-lucid dream, got a back massage, got attacked by facehuggers.

Refreshingly simple.

Well, most of my previous dreams have gone to the "WTF" thread, but considering how frequently I've been getting them lately I better start posting here :P

Last night, I had a dream that a bunch of anime, cartoon, otherwise-fictional, and even historic figures were forced to live in a house together, Big Brother-style. They included Malcom Reynolds, Hinata, Pongo, Asuka, and even freaking George Washington. There may have been crime fighting involved, but I don't remember enough to be sure.

The only things i can remember about my dream last night were these: I was going on a date with someone (I really don't know who), and before the date we made a madcap dash up a long, steep hill, apparently to get to the place we had arranged for the date. It was a lot of fun, for both of us.

There may have been some life-threatening danger involved later on, but that bit is so hazy I that can't recall any of it.

For the first time in...

I went to sleep at 8:30 P.M. and woke up at sun rise, 8:38 A.M.

The dreams - the dreams were so beautiful. Bizarre.

Casino! Clubs! Bars! And then there was Leicester square - no, Greenwich... Where is this? Free food? Oh yes, free food. Icecream! With... Energy drink syrup? This ISN'T free? Enemies are friends? Old caricatures are enemies? Come with me! I know you! You're from that other dream, weird dream lunch lady!
The last thing I remember was muttering to myself; photographers and carpets, over and over again. Telling myself to remember photographers and carpets. I should never try to attain free food with photographers and carpets.
Never forget.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Reprimanding photographers does not result in free food! Maybe.

Maybe... It means that reprimanding photographers is detrimental to benefits! But... Which photographers?!

I didn't remember today's dream (because my mother was yelling at me "Get up! Get up! Get up!" like a drill instructor, so I couldn't concentrate). The dream I had yesterday was about me watching Noah Hathaway's press conference on television.
In the dream I've seen the day before yesterday, I was running errands for random people around my neighbourhood. However, my neighbourhood was also populated by monsters from Fallout: New Vegas (a giant Deathclaw Alpha Male was living on the first floor of the apartment block where I live, for example). No one seemed to care about it. Also, in that dream I've tried to fall asleep and have a lucid dream. I fell asleep, and saw absolutely nothing. I've thought "So, I can't move my limbs, that's sleep paralysis. I'm sleeping, let's try to... Why it's so dark here? I can't see anything! Urgh, screw this, I'm out of here". Then, I woke up in the real world.

Train operator, father was killed by the train she was on, links to the platform, the story goes on

It was an endless train journey - a dream I had no part of. It played out like a fanciful story from the perspective of the narrator, but the narrator was not me oddly enough.
Everyone was dressed in smart attire as if they had come out from a 1930's American theatre, smart tailored grey suits and low cut dresses. I saw one particular fellow clearly through the haze, in a plain grey suit, brown combed hair and a similar hat (which he took off) and the shiniest shoes I've ever seen, before apparently switching to his perspective and getting onto a massive train.
The train operator was a rather humorous and bold African woman who could shout down the entire length of the train, and considering how the train was so large I never actually saw the end of it - that was a mighty feat indeed.
The train went by places I had never seen before, stopping at buildings that don't exist anywhere in the world and on each stop the train would be tethered onto the stop with red velvet dividers by the passengers on the end (and of course Mr. Greysuit sat at the end), as if the train was a colossal ship drifting through the world.
Each passing stop marked something different, a new concept, a new setting. Sometimes the dream would skip the journey past foggy forests and beautiful grey canyons, city-scapes and even the indoors of vast complexes and jump straight to the stations.
Some appeared to be the runways to elaborate festivals and others empty metros, subways and train stations - but each one didn't seem abandoned or neglected, but desolate as you would consider a peaceful mountain retreat to be completely free from the stresses, everything seemed surreal and dream-like.
There were two others in Mr. Greysuit's company, a couple dressed in the same attire he was, but along with each new stop new people would get on and acquaintances and unknown and seemingly out of place characters would depart, seemingly blending in to their destinations. From different times, eras and communities, Mr. Greysuit tried getting off on one of the stations but the train operator shouted this is not your (indicating everyone in our carriage's) stop, and we returned to our carriage.
This is also when we got a clear view of her; tall, light brown skin, brown eyes with black hair held in a pony-tail behind her head, seated beneath a blue box hat that looked like it belonged on a Thunderbird's puppet and a blue director's uniform trimmed with gold, and of course, a rather booming voice. Everyone in our carriage joked and laughed while the director, well, directed.
Much as the settings changed, so did the train change. At times it was a modern engineering wonder full of commuters, sometimes each carriage was more akin to a car, others it was an open old train created from ornate wood and iron - at one point it was as if park benches and pianos had come together to create a locomotive Titan.
Even how it moved changed - sometimes it would suspend from cables, run through rails or drift about in some cosmic mystery; literally driving through ideas that had been given image.
Our carriage was reaching its destination. It was on the second last stop, Mr. Greysuit leaned out of what was now a wooden carriage with no doors and pulled in his carriage's crimson moorings, and that's when things became very different - it was suddenly from the perspective of three people, all connected.
The train operator's dad was waiting for her to come home - when something went wrong and rather violently, he was killed by the train. The body was never found and her brother looked after her till she was independent, and so set off to become the train director, still searching for her dad, in the same train that no one knows led to his disappearance in the first place.

And that's where the dream left off, when my first thought came through - this is a dream, I need to remember it. And I don't recall ever having a dream this unique before.

Me and a few other people were in some giant arena-esque room. It was filled mostly with water and there were some metal platforms and bars above it, and a big main platform at water level. At some point I ended up climbing up the highest bar, putting me right in the center of the ceiling, probably fifty feet or so above water level.

At this point a giant tyrannosaurus rex swims in the room. It snaps at the other people and then notices me. It leaps out of the water like a dolphin and makes it to where I'm at, but I scoot up on the pole and barely dodge it as it passes by me. This then happens again, with it getting a few inches closer. Then it jumps up and its jaws close on my leg. I was shocked awake.

There was a cave full of goblins in my back yard and they kidnapped my family. I went to the wizard and asked him to help me kill the goblins, so he gave me about 20 extra fingers. I went back to my house, stormed the goblin cave, found the goblin king. I fumbled a while with my many fingers until I found the middle one, then I stuck it up at him and shouted F*** YOU!!!!!. Then all the goblins died and I woke up.

A few nights ago, well, shortly after 8 AM, I slid back in bed for a few more hours of oversleep. I find that if I have not shaken my spleepyness away and return from whence I came, my dreams become more livid.

I woke up after this dream about 2 hours later at around 10 AM. I had dreamed I was a child, though the entire setting was in my body just a few feet from my bed standing by the patio sliding door and my desk. I was childish, and I had found many dead husks of butterflies. In my childlikeness I roughly rubbed and tore away the dead and papery wings of these butterflies and threw their bodies into my desk. Immediately after doing so my being was awash in maturity and I realized I was again myself now. I then opened that drawer with the bugs and pulled out a husk. Suddenly the husk opens up and a newly fledged butterfly, and the others in the drawer previously dead, flies away out the patio door that was just then open.

I recall Thoreau saying that the dreams that mean the most are the ones of you awake, and out of your bed. Surreal, as these dreams surely impress upon me the most and I have had them as my person merely trying to get out of bed, believing I was fully awake, and a phantom would stare at me from the bedroom door.

I had a dream in black and white last night... I don't think that has ever happened before. Although even weirder I was having trouble seeing anything at all. At one point two men were sitting down right in front of me, and I looking directly at them, but having trouble actually seeing them.
Apart from that, nothing too special...
