Bay 12 Games Forum

So this is a game I had in my head for a while, and I want to try it.


Rules

Attacking

Attacking works like this: you specify a direction, and attack. Your opponent will also do the same or block. If you have a shield you can block all attacks, with no shield you will guess where to block. Side swing attacks can target two squares side by side. If your two swings go in opposite directions they will be parried.Stabs cannot be blocked by parring or non-shield. If you block with your shield four times in a row it will fly out of your hands onto the ground.


Moving

The map will be in ASCII and the movement will work like: you can move three spaces in one direction, or two in different directions. If you are attacking, you may only move one space.

Weapons

Sword
Left right,Right left, up down, down up, stab
5,5,7,5,3 range:1 one handed

Greatsword
Left right, right left, up down, down up, stab
6,6,8,6,5 range:1 can only swing every other turn two handed

Spear
Left right, right left, up down, stab
4,4,5,5, range:2 one handed


The numbers are damage, the words are the attacks it can perform.

For now, Just tell me the coastline of this world, and the most common sapient species(no humans or dwarves.) Create the Earth!

Human
Khuza:Small furry beings. Good at unarmed combat
Gar'Erz:Tall purple or blue skinned beings. Good at crafting and gun fighting. Bad at building
Kaolin:Clay people. Impervious to fire and good at building. Bad at crafting.
Draak:Two armed beings with 4 wrists and hands. Good at crafting and melee. Bad at guns.
Cithul:Green skinned humanoid mollusks with tentacles at the mouth. Good at scavenging.

Rules of Atwar

Atwar is a strategy game developed by IvanStorm. In the game you try and take over the world. There are "Countries" and in each country there are cities. One of these cities is the capital city. If you conquer a capital city you gain control of the country. Every few turns there are reinforcements. These let you choose new troops.

Units

Infantry:Your basic defense unit

Tanks:your basic attack unit

Bombers:powerful at attacking, but cannot conquer cities

Destroyers:Your basic naval unit

Naval transport/air transport:self explanatory

Militia:weak units that are very slow. not worth it
