Title: Adventure Mode Noob: Where do I find armor/companions?
Post by: MenacesWithSpikes on May 13, 2011, 09:39:54 am
One uninhabited fort after another.

Seriously, I can't even find one fort that's actually inhabited by a civilization.  Lots and lots of empty ones, though.  And plenty of thriving towns.  Just no forts.

Any suggestions for when you can't find an inhabited fort anywhere?

You could always try hiring peasants and training them up. Bandit camps work for some quick armour, or if you're a dwarf goblin ambushes.

On forts: Your world history is probably too long and they've all starved as currently insufficient food gets delivered to forts.

On armor: bandits are good if your character is a human, otherwise check out some local ruins or alters and sneak around looting the bodies of dead goblins dwarves and elves.

This will probably tell you most of what you need to know, including the fort problem:

Almost everything else will be in the reference guide.
