Just had an even better idea:

White Hole-powered Vampire elves.

Then we could take a Black Hole-powered frankedorf, and make an Alcubierre Drive with the two, and finally have dorfs go faster than light. :P

Yeah, but if you think about the way they do computing, you still have the mass/friction issue to overcome. Dwarven logic computors are the most advanced building blocks we have and they are still fortress size. Consider if you will, what happens as we need more and more? The demand increases the faster we gain speed. Whailst the dwarven FTL may work, you still have the issue regarding computor mass and size :P

That's the whole point. To turn the entire world into one big dwarven BH-pFD/WH-pVE ship!

Plus, it'd naturally be preceded by advances in dwarven computing, such as figuring out how to apply quantum stockpiling to constructions to allow a computer that takes up only a 3 tile by 3 tile space to be as powerful as 10 fortress-sized computers. :P
