A Linux user with such a crowded desktop? You should be ashamed. :P
Obviously doesn't use their Places menu properly ;)

Should look like this!

Well, sure... but he's running Ubuntu/Gnome and the Places is a great way (IMHO) to organize your crap besides littering the desktop.  I assume you use the right click anywhere menu?  (Fluxbox? or one of the ___box WMs?)

And now I have Gentoo envy.

How did you get this, if you don't mind me asking? What about the console message?

Add 'fortune' to your .bash_profile (or .bashrc) in your /home and it will give you the random quote each time the console is open.

You can also add more "cookies" to your fortune list,  Google will locate some for you. ;)

It's conky, GNOME, tint2, openbox and rxvt-unicode (and fortune, of course). Most of the stuff is custom made, except for maybe the openbox and the gtk themes which are Elegant Brit and Shiki Colors respectively.

e, There's a GNOME Panel hidden on top too, I couldn't get rid of it :P.

Now with even more RSS feeds.

In desperate need of hard drives. Only 50gb free of my two 1tb Samsung F3s. Thinking of buying a pair of 2tb 5400rpm WDs, but I need to stop being poor.

GNOME-what? I don't see anything that looks GNOMEish there...

Also, are those tabs in your rxvt? How? (I'm guessing a perl script, but which one?) It looks much nicer than urxvt-tabbed >_>

Also-Also, like the ASCII-art wallpaper ;)

That's almost how mine looked.
It didn't blend quite so well, but yeah, it's easy to make GNOME look like that.

I'm using GNOME's set of software, Nautilus, Evince, gedit, etc.

I think it is urxvt-tabbed, just add "URxvt.perl-ext-common: tabbed" to your Xdefaults file.

Thanks. I ran the Gentoo logo through jp2a and colored accordingly.

Nice, the Xdefaults change did it. I've never cared for tabbed terminals before (thought they looked horribly ugly), but this I'll have to try for a while.

I recently got this machine, and decided to put Crysis on it to test the graphics.  I was quite pleased with the result...
