I want to build airships.
-
I want to build starships.
-
I want to build magmaships.
-
I want to build magma-starships
In all seriousness though, I look forward to when moving blocks are possible, other than just in cave-ins.
-
I want to build airships.
Doubled.
-
Here is the solution to the fort retirement issue.
Build airship, take 7 dwarves somewhere new.
-
I want to build Mechs o_o
Like this (http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs51/f/2009/265/a/1/Storm_Slayer___Steam_Golem_by_zeo_x.jpg)!

I'd prefer dwarven viking longships.
-
I don't know about airships, but I think golems could be a possibility. Please keep in mind the following is entirely anecdotal.
I have read on a forum somewhere about someone using a modded reaction to Forge Cows. I have also read about tame creatures having the hunting labour enabled (possibly Crundles[?]).
Therefore it might be possible to mod in a "Golem" creature that can be made at your forge or craft workshop and have them haul, dig or whatever.

afaik, creatures can't be made out of reactions, they only makes vermins. Using syndromes or transformation could do the trick, though, but I don't know much about this.

I want to make. BRONZE COLOSSI.

Mastewrok has this already. They created a reaction that sacrifices a dwarf and makes a golem.
-
Insted of golem I vote automatons!
They were actualy built golems not so much.

Syndromes.
Also regarding Dorf longships - RELEASE THE KRAKEN

I have read on a forum somewhere about someone using a modded reaction to Forge Cows.
Those weren't creature-cows, those were vermin-cows. That was also pre-transformations, so it's now possible to create a syndrome that takes one creature and turns it into another. I'm not sure what kind of offspring two transformed creatures will produce though. A dwarf turned into a jabberer still gives dwarf meat when butchered, so the transformation is not complete in all cases.
-
1.Inactivate cave-ins
2.Build an airship.
-Extra dorf points if you include magma and kobolds.
3.? ? ?
4.Board and release the ship.
5.Reactivate cave-ins.
6.Enjoy the flight!
-Profit

They should be able to breed just fine, it's just that when a creature dies all transformations end, meaning that you get whatever butchery products that they would have given previously instead of the new ones.

"I'll just butcher this jabberer...OH GOD IT TURNED INTO COG!"
(glances both ways)
"Well, who will ever know the difference?"
-
Acually it was Adil. :P
That makes sense about the transformation ending, though I did end up with the amount of dwarf parts appropriated to a creature of a jabberer's size.
-
I want to build magmaships.
I did that once. Built walls and floors deconstruct when you drop them, but casted obsidian doesnt. Make a giant ship out obsidian and drop it into the magma sea. MAGMASHIP.

How'd I miss this thread? I chronicled my construction procedures; Just check out my signature.
I really gotta get around to making the next incarnation of it.
