Well you need plans. Giant lasers dont just grow on trees, or spring fully formed from machine parts.
This trade seems to be, you'll get the plans, but not the resultant research.

Also, Yes, -MOST- research toys can be quickly produced after the initial plans are made. So your technician could build the laser, or a regular, Or really anyone.

Actually really bad. Although it would depend on the increased success rate (and the currant successes rate) but that actually sounds like it would in fact hurt me more then help.
I was thinking almost the opposite in fact, with a lower 'heat' rating put on extortions.

SO i have to say chemistry defensive? for exampleOr you could simply say "x number of researchers work on chemistry". You don't have to say whether it's offensive, defensive or support. If you don't, you're results will be a bit randomized between the three. Some people (myself, for instance), don't mind randomization, or even want a bit of it (again...me). As for researching 'combat sedatives'...any sedative could be used in combat...unless you mean weaponized sedatives, in which case that would be offensive

Also Modified the Assistive Aiming tech. It's classified an item. So you need to construct them and apply them to the weaponry of the units sent. Actually the description of the HP Seds means that they need to be applied to all minions on a mission. not just of one type. Mission rolls are a set of % rolls with modifiers applied based as a whole. Course if you could micromanage the minions applied to each aspect we roll for we'd maybe allow this, but you cant because we don't micromanage the missions themselves. Maybe at some point we will but not now. Our combonation of laziness and efficiency actually works in your favor currently.

Protip: Spend it on things and/or upgrade your security. As Terenos said, everyone has seen some sort of a kick in the balls lately. The setup of the functions in the game are such that conditions cause a lot of events. Henchmen are basically triggered by plots or conditions (Notoriety and/or Cash, minion count, etc)
Some of us get it, others don't. Check out peoples turns. I have no cash flow pretty much, others get hit hard in others ways.
If your that angry about it, just attempt to steal from other players, I assume by your most recent post that you think another player used Fingers to steal from you?
It is assumed that you're keeping your cash in an easily guarded room within your organization. and not in say, a bank. Are you storing it in a bank? Are you freely announcing your funds to the authorities? -DO- tell me, because if so.. then I have an entire other avenue of cruel and unusual things I can do. If all your funds are insured, then I would be happy to have investigators pry into your business for weeks.
You are evil. As such you will not keep your cash where anyone from the outside can easily reach it, but it would be easy to hand. Fingers is an accomplished thief-type henchman. Your guard roll was defeated by something happening. So I spun it into Fingers noticing your organization was almost entirely offense, and comparatively no defense. He rolled very highly on the amount he stole from you. (You'd be surprised what you can fit in say, a dufflebag or suitcase, if the bills are large enough). Let us recap. ONE Guard, easily dispatched. No defenses. And a bunch of cash sitting around. Not only that, Your notoriety is high enough that you can and will attract this sort of attention. At the very least, others keep more than 2 minions in their base during the turn.
I'm not dumping on you, or anyone. In some ways, the events I have happen curtail growth, or open new avenues of thought. This is a good thing. I want people exploring new paths if the path they are on becomes too difficult. Or find some way to offset the difficulty. But as I believe I've said (Or cyber said) we're not holding anyone's hand here.
But there are things you can do. Any negative event can be planned for. Its foolish to assume something is safe simply because I haven't taken a shot at destroying it.
All minions within the base contribute in a very small way to defense at a given time. Only with Guards can you have an active defense. Otherwise its just your minions about their daily lives who might -possibly- stumble upon something happening. Like a man stealing funds, or a homeless guy in the break room eating all the sandwiches.he's missing out because i have a great oppotunity for him, so he must be a stupid one? its not like i want to meet him in person, he left a calling card for crying out loud.
Lair choice has some impact but again, very small. But for the most part its negligible. For example, A casino has a lot of foot traffic, which may reduce the effectiveness at keeping out X specific person, but they are designed in a cunning way which may prevent actual penetration of the nefarious organization within.
You, are in a small mountain compound. This could be hard to get to simply due to terrain. Nevyn is on a boat, which will make active targeting slightly difficult provided he keeps moving.
As an aside, we should be approaching the time when other base locations may start to become available. These, you will be able to specifically engineer for a positive bonus. An underground base is not going to get much regular foot traffic.

Actually, If you've been assigning scientists or techs to plot up till now, I've been ignoring those minions while rolling. Your minions can do the tasks they're allowed (this also impacts regulars assisting extortion).
And I don't hold hands. Cmon folks you should know what your minions can do by now.
Extortion failures are the actual targets resisting...cops showing up is very rare (rolling a 1 maybe) Usually results in larger Notor gain and minion loss than with just normal failures

The AA devices are gear like the Laser rifles. Their bonuses can be combined if they're brought on the same missions. You dont need to take time attaching X to Y at this stage.but are they single use though???

Far be it from me to stifle your creativity or flair, but..There are some legitimate purchases that I will permit, but a lot of what you're suggesting has no..Real effect that I've come up with yet. Or that I want to come up with effects for, because several of them are things that are(to me) Either mundane villainy or would draw too much attention. Carbombs? How needlessly mundane, you have giant lasers. Armored cars? I don't know about you, but I notice every single armored car. I do not however notice vans marked with various businesses, or mid-sized family sedans. Attack dogs look suspicious, require paperwork, are easily noticed..Ok thats what i thought after seeing no difference back when i was adding flavor to my actions, but the battle modifers you showed made me unshure since i remember modifiers for little things like ambushes or recklesness. i'll stick to the formula then.
Extortion, stealing, or large scale plotted missions are the only way to gain resources or cash. Piracy or bootlegs or what have you is a fine way of changing the flavor but..Yeah. I haven't given anyone any bonuses for seriously outside the box thinking yet. And dont plan to. The mission types are there for a reason. It defines activities so I dont have headaches or rules questions that amount to 'can x minion do y?' By having loosely defined missions I've already answered this. Not everything evil you could do currently fits, this is true. But eventually everything will.

Changing Bases
Changing bases, is an important thing when your location is known, and you want to avoid sabotage or retribution. You can also move your Base to gain small bonuses that might be applicable based on where you're moving to.
This could get a bit murky, but what the hell. The base movement time is 15 M/W of labor, and any Minion type can add their labor value (Base 1, modified by the Enhance Base job)here. This is to move directly to another Base with no bonuses. Better bonuses to the base, more time.
The way I see increased minion cap would have worked is considering that on building the area they discovered they were able to make a more larger staple of food, shelter and other needs that bringing in more minions wouldn't be too difficult...He said he'd put you in a different base if you want those bonuses. So why don't you try acting like a big boy and either stay where you are or take him up on his offer. Personally I think he's being overly accomodating, so you might want to make up your mind before he changes his.
Also. Did I know that I had to specify which Research Branch I need to choose??? No? I had like, what 3-4 turns for it to be known...
