Prinnies, oh yes.
Exploding penguins with peg legs and little wings who constantly say "Dood" and store ridiculous amounts of weapons in their pouches.

You should try out some of Nippon Ichi's other games too, like Phantom Brave and La Pucelle Tactics. They are some of the most innovative and funny SRPGs there are.

Nippon Ichi
This. The majority of my PSP games are from NIS.

Phantom Brave

Great game, I have it.
It's funny how easily you can solo the game with Marona if you give her a Dead Tree as a weapon.

I refuse to buy Disgaea 2 until I beat the first one. Which will be a long time. I suck at it.

The premise of the game made me go WTF, but then I got used to it.

...

It's pretty damn obvious that the plot of Disgaea 2 is essentially a love story.

Rozalin/Adell, anyone?

Wow, I just noticed we turned this into a videogames thread. Cool! I accidentally derailed the thread.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Same setup as last time, new background. I got xmobar working!

With a tiling WM, I fear most of my posts would be better suited for a "post your wallpaper" thread.

Yes but it actually gets a lot more complex. For example: Why is Adell still human? Why did the spell summon Rozalin? Etc.

The plot for Disgaea 1 is essentially "Hmm, what crazy stunt can we pull next?! Ooh, I know, exploding prinny baseball, and lame power rangers rip-offs!". It only becomes a serious story in the last few chapters... in which there is a bit of another love story, yes.

Disgaea 3 is about Mao, a honor student (never goes to school) who has his Game Slayer 9000 destroyed by his father (the overlord) so he seeks to kill him and become the overlord himself.

It is ridiculously funny as well.  I'm only on Chapter 3 right now though...points to sig.
