OK. I took my bluejay girl in full steel plate to go beat down a goblin civ. Unfortunately, theres something going on inside the civ thats causing it to crash randomly if I don't get out of the civ before the event occurs.
I don't even know how to report or diagnose or report the problem to the tracker but I love my character and I don't want this to be the end of her. @.o
Any help would be appreciated.

Dark Fortresses are a notorious source of lag. There are so many creatures moving about in even one of these that the game cannot easily process them.
It could also be this thing. (http://dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/DF2014:Underworld_spire) Just beware of the spoilers, if you have never explored a Dark Fortress before, DO NOT CLICK THAT LINK.

It's not so laggy, but it's crashing often?

Then I don't know. You using DFhack or any other utility?

It's straight, vanilla dwarf fortress...

Then I can't help you, unfortunately. Sorry!

If it crashes in the same place without fail every time, and you're definitely playing vanilla 43.05, 64 bit (not noob-pack DF, but actual vanilla) then definitely upload it to the bug tracker. Crash bugs are high priority.
There's a 'nemesis crash bug' in adventurer that seems to designate a certain part of the world for no apparent reason as a crash zone which this sounds similar to.

A save would be helpful as well.

Yeah, sorry, that's what I meant by 'upload'. Don't just report it. There's enough 'My game is broken' with no evidence reports on the tracker as it is.
