Something strange, but i have been generating a lot of worlds void of goblins and elves, also kobolds kick freaking ass, seriously, i have had kobolds slaying hydras and retiring to die from old age ALL over.
Messing around with caves is fun now (after the fix), last time i made huge cave with 5 or so Giants and a number of other dangerous critters, and tons of expensive loot (masterfull diamond idols and whatnot).
Don't know if that effects civilizations though.

Aren't elves suppoped to be enemies of dwarves according to the preestablished lore (and everyone's hate of elves)? Having elves as evil cannabals who zerg everything to death kinda allows them to fit this nicely. I mean, honestly, does anyone want your arch nemesis to be a bunch of hippies?

Not technically a bug. When historical figures get culled, the game replaces references to them in history to 'unknown creature'.
