DF and SP3?

Just got the notification. Service pack 3 is out for windows XP.

Anyone have problems while upgrading? I just wan't to make sure it doesn't interfere with DF.

Even Vista works with Dwarf Fortress, so you're probably safe.

The first time I upgraded to SP2 it curb stomped my computer.

I never download upgrades for windows unless it forces me to, so I should be safe.

Going to stick with Service Pack 2 till it forces me to upgrade. So far I've only been reminded that it's out.

Why would you want your computer to be full of security holes?

Sure, there's a small chance an update will break something, but a much larger chance it won't, and most of them are for known security problems that are a really good idea to fix.

Knowing Windows, he's probably not updated to avoid security holes.

I've got SP3 (I needed it for Tweak as Windows wouldn't let me install the latest NET framework without SP3 which just so happened to be released on that day). It started out super laggy until I did several defragments with JKDefrag. There's still a lower performance output I think... makes me wonder if it was worthwhile for Tweak...

I hate it when something requires something else to run and you're not sure what that something else will do to your computer.

I have SP3 on my XP system, DF runs fine so far.
