I found a song I heard on college radio back in the late noughts! The trick was that I kept searching for "Every little thing she does is magic", when I should have been searching for "Hello Petunia". memories are
weird.
I've only listened to the first sentence, confirming I found it, but basically it's a very subdued rendition of ELTSDIM but with poetry thrown in.
It's very lesbian which isn't usually my thing, but there's a quiet yearning which melts my heart. Respect.
...Okay it's a bit weirder than I remembered, and I love it. Almost entirely as I remembered it.

Well that was interesting.
Yeah sorry - when I saw the strip I couldn't help but hear the song (but with Randall's lyrics). It fit so well, except for one syllable I disagree with. May be a regional accent thing.
My dad loved the original song and I did too as a teen, despite it being a sandwich of religion. It's superficially religious, but obviously about a relationship, and perhaps it's very spiritual in its heart.
Much later edit:
