You are a Hero (IC)
« on: July 19, 2012, 09:15:43 am »

(IC thread for: You are a Hero)
The city of Alessia, capital of the Empire. All of you had different reasons for coming. Some seek knowledge, others want treasure, and then there are others who do things just for the thrill and the action. The city was huge. You were on the outskirts and yet it was incredible. You entered an Inn. The Dwarven Mug. Once inside someone approached you. A young dwarf with brown eyes and a long black beard. He talked to you, with a perfect Imperial accent.
"Do you want to get some money and see the world, stranger?"

Dear Urist: I, the overseer, appreciate your point of view about the danger that an unarmed goblin can represent at the other side of a fortification when you try to kill it with a ballista, but, as you know, you're not paid to think. And a mindless worker is a happy worker, so shut up and do your job.

You are a Hero, an fantasy adventure with dragons, mages, ninjas and Norse mythology

(False Friends, my old English nemesis)

"My name is Barrick Deeppick, and i'm about to depart with merchant caravan to the Dwarven Kingdoms. However imperial armies do not protect the roads leading there. And neither do the dwarves. So if you escort me there, i'll be happy to pay you a ten percent of the profits. And I will also pay both the food and the accommodation."

"Bandits will probably be the only problem. But, Thor forbid, if the imperial Senate finally manages to convince the Empress, maybe even the imperial armies." But after saying this, the dwarf looks at you and, with a smile in his face, says. "But I think they aren't stupid enough to go to war against the greatest weaponsmiths in the world, are they?"

"I believe we could handle some bandits, and for the Empire, I would think not, when do we leave?"

"Perfect, it is good to see some brave hearts these days. We'll leave in a few hours. I have to tell my men that we are moving."

Your journey began three hours later. During the first part of the trip, the roads were protected by the imperial army. However, as you approached the Great Desert, the natural border with the dwarven kingdoms, you noticed that you were alone. No one else was traveling with you. Only the dwarven caravan.

Once you got to desert Arnvid saw something. A group of men was following you. Probably bandits. However, they noticed that Arnivd had saw them. They were riding camels, and they were getting closer. The dwarves had only some carving knifes and other tools to protect themselves. The bandits were five men.
What are you going to do?

ALL: The men charged at the caravan. Three of them charged towards Arnvid, one towards the front of the wagon and another one to the rear.
