To be fair about part C, the way both sides are so radicalized that if one was to take to power fully it might very well mean the end of life as we know it. Hilariously though I assume the biggest changes would be the same no matter who took power.

If there's a new Civil War, I'm enlisting for the North. This is simply on the basis that I'm tired of bumper stickers that say "The South Will Rise Again." Which is never gonna happen if you take into consideration that the current Federal Government would be backed by and support the North...

I don't think it would be a simple north/south split. More like a "Both Coasts" vs. "Jesusland".

Not thrilled with that possibility because like many of my Confederate ancestors, my loyalty lies to my state first, nation second. And given the current political climate in Carolina Superior....I don't like where that train of thought ends up.  :-\

As to the South's ever-imminent rise....

Hahahaha, thanks for that link. Penetrating journalistic article, as always. The Onion truly sets a precedent for truth in reporting.

I do not how a joke site remains popular and still online after so long. Is america really so stupid as to like this sort of shit?
Fake and spoof sites is really some thing that pisses the hells out of me as I can't understand why people tolerate it.

Exibit C of why the U.S. is no longer going to be the most powerful country in the world in 10 years.

A: Each side is more interested in slandering the other than actually talking about issues.

B: Neither side is willing to cooperate in even the slightest way with the other side on what are basically government scale 'life or death' issues.

C: And even the regular joe are so ingrained in their ideas and refuse to compromise so much that either side having full control of the government in a time when shit needs doing instead of being argued over, apperantly means the end of life as we know it.

As an American, I have only one thing to say; God I can't fucking wait for this.

I just had deja vu and I didn't know why.

Maybe there was a thread like this yelling about parodies that closed itself immediately after greatorder posted?

I actually don't remember...

If you are not reading it and thinking it will be serious it is pretty great for news about the culture of America.
