Hey, anything that provides impetus for getting rid of the electoral college is at least partially a good thing.
Frankly, considering how it's favoring Dems right now, I disagree. If the lines have moved further to the right come 2016, I'll reconsider. Otherwise, I think I'd keep as is.

I don't like political parties. They only seem to promote the mentality of "I don't like this guy and everything about his policies because he's a *INSERT PARTY HERE* and I support *OPPOSING PARTY HERE*"

It just seems like a stupid mentality to promote for a democracy since a mass of "ignorant" voters can completely gloss over a candidate's policies and their potentials simply because they're "the other side." If there were no parties, people would either have to think about a candidates potential for the future of the country and vote accordingly, or the more likely alternative of candidates slinging even more mud at each other.

Also there'd be less likelyhood of media, news stations, etc being biased towards one side or another, they could only be supporting of a specific candidate.

Then again, maybe I just flat out don't like politicians...

Getting rid of parties won't get rid of ignorant voters, it will just make them concentrate their ignorance into other things. Most people (at least in the US) are too stupid to wrap their heads around politics.

I disagree. It's far more likely people will just not care, and enduce apathy. Of course, I have a low view of my fellow man, so theres that. Still, ignoreance will not suddenly disappear.

It'd be less old if there were fewer canadians. I mean come on. There a tenth of the Us, and that doesn't include the presumable ice rednecks. How many of their internet goers found there way to Bay12? See? It's like they come out of the woodwork to annoy me.

Plus Goomba is troll, so he is fair game.

Most of the USA is probably too stupid to vote and operate a computer, especially at the same time, so the Canadians pick up the slack.

Good thing only smart people can get online and vote.
