Welcome to another RtD that will hopefully not be forgotten after 4 updates. What am I talking about, I have nothing better to do. I'll definitely get at least 8 updates! Let's get started.
Your life ended one day. You’re pretty sure you didn’t die. It just, you know, stopped. One second, everything’s normal, and then the next you’re standing in a completely white room being asked by some disembodied voice.
Would you like to save everyone?
And you said yes.
That was about a moment ago. Maybe. You wake up, lying on cold stone. Your ears are ringing, and your eyes aren’t adjusting well to this new lack of light, but as you slowly acclimate to your new surrounding, you notice that you’re surrounded by four other people, all in the process of picking themselves off the floor.
As the ringing in your ears subsides, you pick up the tail end of a tinny, electronic yet vaguely feminine voice, singing the words, “--bicycle built for two.” As you turn towards the source, you notice a face, cobbled together by illuminated ASCII characters, floating some ways off. It notices you and several symbols alter to create a smile.
“W-welcome,” the face stammers. You instantly recognize it as the voice from the white room. “I-it’s nice to s-see you again. I h-hope we c--” And, for a moment, the face turns to a complete disarray of random letters and symbols, before it finally reforms, fully composed. “I am Daisy. Thank you for accepting the task to destroy the Dimensional Anchors. I’m afraid that this is as close as I could get you to the Anchor of Earth, as I appear to have suffered structural damage. I will need to go offline shortly.”
Your memory is a little hazy, what with all that seems to have happened in a relatively short amount of time, but this is the first you've heard of these Anchors.
You look around the room. There is next to no light except that which Daisy is emanating, but there are a number of torches lined throughout the room. The wall, floor, and ceiling all seem to made of smoothed stone, and you can see a small hallway attached to the… let’s-call-it-south end of the room. In the now-deemed-northeast corner is a pile of rubble that appears to be smoking from some sort of incident you hadn't seen. The probably-northwest corner appears to have been completely covered in thick webbing, shading it from what little light is given off by Daisy. From within the web glow four eyes, staring in your direction.
What is your Destiny?
Sign-Ups:
Sign ups are easy! All you need to do is submit a name and grab 3 different Arcanas for which your Destiny shall be judged in a single class--one of major importance, one of minor importance, and the last of diminished importance. Or don’t, and I’ll pick some for you!
Example: My character's name is Webley Alduous, and my Arcana are (The Wand, The Meteor, The Steppe). Webley might be Destined to become The Wandering Mage of Destruction or maybe The Starfallen Crafter. There are no guarantees in life. You may choose to live by your Destiny or not. That is for you to decide. Master or rebuke.
Additionally, you may want some sort of description or be something other than human, like some sort of catgirl or a robot or a robot catgirl. Heck, maybe you were doing something right before this whole fiasco, like enjoying a picnic with your wife and daughter when it suddenly ended. Feel free to let us know! In fact, you're more likely to be chosen if you do! I can also assign you something random, if that’s the cut of your jib. Just ask! I've got... like... I dunno, 4? But you can always change it.
Rules:
The GM (Game Master) posts a situation the players are in. The players then post their actions, according to the conditions GM sets. The GM then rolls for the actions' results, and writes them out in his post. Then the players post actions again, ad infinitum.
The action results are defined by a six-sided die roll:
[1]: Epic Fail. Your efforts only worsened your situation.
[2]: Fail. Your skills or luck were insufficient.
[3]: Meager success: The situation didn't improve by as much as you have intended.
[4]: Success: Your efforts were sufficient to achieve your goal.
[5]: Epic Success: Your skills and luck have combined to ensure your success.
[6]: Overshot: Your efforts were more than required for the goal's completion, and your luck is such that unfortunate side-effects are inevitable.
If at any time something threatens a player, that player may make a roll to avoid the threat.
For each action, any number of rolls may be made, as determined by the GM.
Primary causes for multiple rolls include, but are not limited to:
* Actions explicitly composed of multiple actions
* Actions that imply other actions that are not declared free
For every dodge roll, any number of additional rolls may be made, as determined by the circumstances, and any skills or special effects applied to the player.
Remember these as well:
- This world is a ridiculous but slightly serious place. Things may not be what you think, but you're assumptions may help shape them. People will care about what you do, actions will have consequences, and physics exists... for the most part.
- I occasionally may have your character act without your input to fit the character's goal, in the interest of time and turn length. If one such action is unwanted, retconning is an option. If that doesn't suit your fancy, it may be best not to join.
- I am the GM, but I'm not here to be God. If something seems unfair, you are free to point it out. Bad luck is just that, but bad GMing is bad skill.
- When you die, you die for real! Avoid shenanigans and you should be mostly fine. The world isn't stupidly dangerous but carelessness kills.
- Please don't purposefully harm or disrupt your fellow players. Unless they're cool with it, then go nuts. Destiny will favor those who are most willing to overcome internal and external strife.
- There's no such thing as stats in this game. However, mastering or rebuking Destiny may grant you skills or bonuses.
- The more creative, fun, or in-character you are, the more Destiny may favor you. Not that Destiny can be controlled. But maybe a point here or there makes a difference.
- I will aim for this game to have a conclusive end. I do not wish to drag you through the mud forever. Your actions will help find it.
- Post with haste, and I shall do likewise! Fail to post, and your character may have to leave.
- And lastly, have fun. If you're not having fun, you can certainly let me know what you dislike or leave on your terms. I accept my Destiny of Game Master.
Players:
Get 5 people. Not necessarily first-come, first-serve, but I'll take whatever I can get! Create your character. Post your actions and maybe intentions. Talk to the anything and each other. Search your pockets or the room. Destiny will assign you a class from there during Turn 0. If more show up than five... Uh, I don't know, I never think far enough ahead. I'd be surprised if everyone was that eager. There may be room for more, if I'm not overwhelmed by five. We'll see. If you read this far, tell me about your favorite sandwich. You will gain some additional Destiny.
Sorry, there's over 100 Arcana. If you're looking for something special, you might be able to ask to have it added... (Though, it's best you have a backup if that won't work.)

Destiny has already begun. Let your actions move you.
Turn 0 - Let Us Revisit The Recent Past
You find yourselves in a stone room. To the south is a hallway that hasn't been explored. In the northeast corner, there is a smoking pile of rubble. In the northwest corner, there are four glowing eyes peering out of a large mass of webs. In the middle of the room is Daisy. On the ground is the body of a person that did not wake with the rest of you.
This is how all Destinies start.
Umbrol Chandar, Shadowclaw777
In a room of impossibly white light, some time in the past five minutes if you had to guess, you had just agreed to something you didn’t fully comprehend. That voice told you a great many things. It told you you’re a rogue. It told you you’re aggressive. It told you you were a threat. It even compared you to the hydra.
It told you that many people have always wanted the power to do something with their lives. That as it spoke, many of those lives disappeared and many were currently doing so. It told you that you can use what you have to stop it.
You had said yes.
There was something that had moved when you said that, like a specter in the corner of your eye. You had slowly begun to look down. You saw your shadow, draping itself over your body, shielding you from the light of the room. Its hands looked like talons, and you would swear you had seen jagged teeth.
And then the voice named you the Armed Silhouette.
You Gained a Skill - Did It Just Move?: Your shadow can move on its own. It can even pick up small items.
Percival Frye, Greenstarfanatic
You found yourself in a room of white. You couldn’t see, couldn’t hear, anything for what seemed like hours. But then you heard it, the voice and, almost on instinct, you began to notes its characteristics. Digital, synthesized, vaguely feminine, balanced, and monotonous.
“Interesting. A Maze and an Abyss? You’ll likely be confused by your power, possibly even corrupted, but perhaps your Harp will save you in the end.”
You felt you could hear her smile.
“Would you like to save everyone?”
But, when you said yes, it wasn’t just your voice that escaped. It was thousands of them in all directions. A choir of yous, and when you finished, they followed suit.
And then the voice named you the Warden of Sound and Silence.
You Gained a Skill - Reverberation: You pick up sounds from much further away. You may also emit noises from a distance.
Emerald “Emm”, Sheyra
It was empty in that white room. Lonely. You could tell that the voice was all by itself.
“This is odd. I thought I had only filtered by intelligent--Oh.”
You looked for your mistress. You looked for the voice to cheer her up. Nobody should ever have to be alone. But, you couldn’t find it.
It told you about what it means to be a Beast, but you weren’t brutish. It told you about what it means to be a Heart, but it was the lonely one. It told you what it means to be a Wand, but that’s just magic. Like what a magical girl has.
You began to notice a spiral of hearts surrounding you. Glistening hearts, rainbowed and shiny. You reached one paw out, and it latched onto you like a magnet. You scratched at it futilely without leaving a single mark.
You felt a primal instinct within you. One… to protect the ones you love and care about.
And then the voice named you the Adorned Shaman of Generation.
You Gained a Skill - Scales: Your body is able to manifest scales. You may activate these scales to grant minor protections against attacks for a short while.
???, randomgenericusername
White. It is all you knew and all you currently know. An empty canvas. Without a name and nothing to judge, who could say what you are.
“Something’s wrong. Brain damage? Perhaps you’re already missing part of your soul--” The voice continued, but it hadn’t matter. You could feel the tips of your fingers want to fill the empty canvas in front of you, and you began to will it filled.
And, indeed, it began to drown out the emptiness with all that you imagined and more. Painted characters roamed the streets of a town you couldn’t recognize and hummed and buzzed about events and people you had never known.
At some point, the voice had stopped. And only a short time later did the painting vanish with it, like puddles of water drying up.
“Would you like to save everyone?”
Yes.
And then the voice named you the Fleeting Creator.
You Gained a Skill - Willed Creation: You can create a temporary image of something. It might even work as it should.
Environment
Daisy begins to flicker, creating a strobe effect of slowly dying light. "It appears that the damages are far greater than I expected." Half of her face disappears and then reappears.
The eyes in the webbed area move between all of you standing in the room before finally they land on {1} Umbrol.

Turn 1 - Plants Versus Spiders
Percival Frye, Greenstarfanatic
"Yes...er...I should really go."
Percival looks around the room, briefly notices the eyes, and bolts away, down the south corridor.
{2} - You book it down the south corridor immediately. You make it a few meters before the hallway takes a right turn. {1} You take a look back at the exact wrong moment and find yourself colliding with a wall of boards, all nailed together. {4} Luckily, the wall seems to bend as you collide with it before ultimately collapsing downward, as if held up by some sort of spring mechanism.
You tumble forward, rolling over the boards that now bounce up and down, and then you fall into a large open pit. {5} Your pants snag onto one of the wooden boards.
Somewhere below you, you hear a voice, soft and weak. You look down, your eyes steadily growing more accustomed to the dark, and see a figure swinging back and forth attached to a vine that goes out of the pit. In the darkness, you can barely make out the giant flower sitting on its head, the mess of colors muted by the lack of light. A faint and sweet scent drifts up from the figure with just a hint of decay.
“Could you--” she starts before pausing. You can tell she seems about to pass out. “Could you help me out of here?”
Combination Turn
Umbrol Chandar, Shadowclaw777
Emerald “Emm”, Sheyra
?-?-?, randomgenericusername
“What actual eyes on me?!, what do these things want and maybe my moving shadow can help me out here”
Command my shadow to shroud me from the gaze of the eyes, while I try to leave their grasp and ask why that their doing
Emerald looks around with some confusion after being transported. What a different room from home! Mistress would get very upset at how dirty it was, probably.
Spotting the glowing eyes in the corner, Emm immediately lowers her body to the ground, prowling towards it quietly, using the unmoving body in the room as cover, before pouncing at whatever it was in those shadows! Mistress hates bugs!
(I imagine cat eyes are helpful for seeing into those dark shadows that those silly humans can't see into.
Also, agreed on the character idea!)
? ? ? looks around for a moment, notices the creepy eyes, panics and tries to create a bed sheet, hiding underneath it.
"...I-Is the monster gone yet?"
{6} / {4} / {5} - With an immediate reaction, ?-?-? draws a square in the air and dives to the ground as a piece of fabric materializes itself in the air. Umbrol and Emm see ?-?-? disappear completely from view as an Invisibility Blanket covers them completely. The eyes pay no attention. Success!
Umbrol, meanwhile, prepares for disaster by shielding himself with his shadow. He encases himself in a Cloak of Shadow.
“Ah, thank you for that,” Red Eyes says, with little clicks thrown in for good measure. “It was getting harder to see, what with all the li--”
Emm slinks close to the floor, using the eyes’ current distraction as the best chance to pounce! {4} Emm’s claws shred through a large portion of the webbing.
As the silk strands split open, the owner of the four red eyes spews out, attached to what looks to be some sort of dessicated spider humanoid. Emm’s claws appear to have separated one of the creature’s 8 legs completely. He begins to pick himself off the floor.
“Now, that wasn’t very nice at all.”
?-?-? Is Invisible: Situational bonus. If your next action is an attack, you reroll the first 1, 2, or 6. Ends next turn.
Umbrol Is Shadowcloaked: You are going to be attacked next turn if nothing is done. You will take slightly less damage next turn. Ends next turn.
Environment
Daisy’s ASCII face erupts into static. The last thing she says before disappearing is to notify her when the job is done, after which a small device with a red button appears, clattering to the floor.
The Spider-Man looks at Emm and Umbrol and then towards the unconscious man on the floor. It apologizes and does an odd movement, causing its skin to shed almost instantly. Its exoskeleton gleams in the last seconds of Daisy's light. It takes a battle stance, holding four of its legs above its head before it says in a rather upbeat tone, “So rarely do we get visitors. Are you here to serve as sacrifice, or are you just here to meet with Queen Arachnias? Or perhaps you’ve heard legends of the great warrior, Octavius Silkthread and wished to verify their claims?” He begins to wrap strands of silk around two of his skywardly held legs. “I assure you. They are all true.” You can see a small amount of ichor flowing from his missing leg.
And then, it was dark. {2} / {5} - Umbrol's eyes do not adjust well to this new darkness, but ?-?-? and Emm seem fine.

As a side question, do you guys like combination turns, or would you rather they focused solely on you? I do them if your actions would coincide so much that it'd be like reading the same thing, but honestly, if it's not popular, I'll stop doing it.
Turn 2 - The Queen Awaits
Combination Turn - Umbrol Chandar, Shadowclaw777; Emerald “Emm”, Sheyra
“If you consider us sacrifices than trust me you are going to have a bad time, so besides this random cat doing whatever a felines does, we like to meet your Queen maybe just us the way?, also not attacking me would be nice
Try to coerce the spider humanoid to back down, and trying to move away from her? reach and stay towards the need of the room and not near the webs.
Startled by the sudden appearance of the weird looking insectman thing, Emm would leap backwards, hissing at it. Mistress would definitely hate that thing! Emm would dart forward again, activating her new magical power to cover herself in protective scales, before leaping at the creature before it could stand all the way up and move its head, and thus, its eyes, out of reach of her claws.
{5} / {4} - Emm tenses up, leaping backwards. As she does, three glowing hearts surround her, cycling at an ever-increasing pace before they latch onto her head, tail, and back, hardening in place.
{5} Emm feels the scales drastically increase in weight, turning her tail into a whip. Octavius, having been momentarily blinded by the flash of light, is completely unprepared, staggering him as the frantic feline flail slams the arachnoid. He is launched back into the mess of webs, which collapses to reveal a tunnel leading back into a dark cavern before a cloud of dust fills the air.
Umbrol seizes the advantage, and feels something cold in his veins, dispersing through his body as he speaks. “If you consider us sacrifices, then trust me, you are going to have a bad time, so besides this random cat doing whatever a feline does, we would like to meet your Queen maybe just show us the way? Also, not attacking me would be nice.” {6} Umbrol’s words are laced with a threatening edge, and Emm and the unknown soul begin to feel a heaviness in their stomach as the darkness closes in.
A fit of coughing disperses the dust cloud and steadily morphs into laughter. “Perhaps I’ve gotten too old for this, or, more likely, I have underestimated you. I concede.” He stands up, holding his front arms up in a gesture of surrender. Octavius turns towards Emm. “If you’d like to continue this, I can certainly arrange it, but,” he says, raising several of his auxiliary appendages, all of which have been mangled and destroyed, “it appears you have already won.”
He coughs some more. "You are quite strong, young feline. I would someday like to have a pupil as strong as you, if ever you were inclined."
Umbrol Gained a Skill - Intimidation: Your voice is a weapon of its own, causing fear to those that hear it.
Percival Frye, Greenstarfanatic
((Question: Is the vine like, exiting the pit that I'm hanging at the entrance of? Like if I pulled myself out, could I just try pulling the vine up once I'm back on solid ground?))
In the darkness, you can't quite make out what exactly the vine is attached to, but you can hear the creaking the vine makes as the new motion of the figure below causes it to swing, an ominous groaning at the lip of the hole. If you had to guess, that would be correct, but it's just so dark that you can't be sure.
I...uh...sure? Just...give me a minute, alright?
Percival takes a moment to assess his...odd situation, and tries to lift himself back out of the pit, and then lift this thing out by the vine.
{5} - In spite of your current predicament, you manage to shimmy your way off the bouncing wooden-board wall and grab ahold of solid stone. It takes a bit of a try, but eventually you find your footing on something and climb your way out of this hole.
It is much darker than it was before, with what little light there is flowing in from some cracks in the opposite wall from where you walked in, but you can hear the vine creaking just a ways off. You cautiously move to grab the vine and find some success, just as you hear a few feet pounding outside the cracked wall run right by.
{4} You get a hold of the vine and begin to pull the plantgirl out of the pit. She is remarkably light, and each meter you pull seems easier and easier, until you can finally see her on the edge of the pit. You reach out to grab her hand, and she grabs on feebly.
“Thank you,” she says, hugging you. “If you’re a spider, I’d prefer you kill me right now, though.”
?-?-?, randomgenericusername
This isn't happening... This has to be a nightmare, just a bad dream...
? ? ?, while still trembling under the invisibility blanket, creates a large teddy bear for protection against the big scary monster.
{2} - This is a bad dream. This is a nightmare. This isn’t happening. You slam your eyes closed and start drawing.
“That’s not how he works, {___}.”
You open your eyes. You can no longer see the Stone Room anymore. You are back in that painted town that only existed in the White Room. A woman in overalls and a face that you can’t see is towering over you. Her hands, posted at her hips, are holding a dirty teddy bear. Part of its head is ripped open, and a bit of stuffing falls out at random intervals. She gets down onto one knee.
“This bear doesn’t just protect you from monsters.”
You are crying. The tears make it even harder to see her face. Your bear friend was dead. It died protecting you from the monsters. She puts her hand on your head, and you try to look in her eyes but can’t.
“You have to protect him from the monsters, too.”
She stands back up, and hands you back the bear. Its head been patched up with a patchwork of a bandage, and it is now clean and warm.
“You are stronger than he is. He knows what you’re feeling. He can only be strong if you are. He can only fight the monsters if you can.”
You see the Stone Room again. Standing before you is that same teddy bear, hunched down on the ground and trembling. Lights pours throughout the room from the cat that you saw rip off the leg of the monster. You hear the voice of the shadow man’s voice, strong in the face of unimaginable danger.
And here you are, hiding with a terrified teddy bear under a blanket. The blanket disintegrates.
Environment
Octavius stands up and turns around. "I admit you free passage to and from Queen Arachnias." He begins to hobble and limp his way into the caverns behind the webs. "A word of caution, however. Do not look into her eyes. She may be the Queen of Spiders, but she is nothing like us."
In the hallway outside the Stone Room, the plantgirl lets go of Percival. “I’m Artemis. Thanks for rescuing me, but I need to find the Spider Queen.” When she says that, she immediately begins to search through the pockets of her baggy clothes. Artemis stops, letting out a sigh of relief, after which her stomach growls. “You, uh, wouldn’t have anything to eat, would you? Oh, and… who or what are you?”

Retroactive actions! Whenever you receive a retroactive action, think of it as a free action to modify the way the previous turn happened. It will happen as a mini-turn before the beginning of the next turn that happened during the last turn.
Also, sorry for the time. I got busy, and I won't try to let that happen again.
Turn 3 - The Spider Queen
Umbrol Chandar, Shadowclaw777
“Ok domestic shorthair, that’s the breed you are right?, a Siamese maybe, anyways what’s important here is trying to find out why we are sent so to this place so I need the head to the information keeper so I at least understand the basics, but you may do what you please.”
Head towards where the free passage and maybe Octavia’s w hold like to come along, ask him that question, than direct myself so that I may meet the Queen, preparing my shadows to cover my eyes if she has this “Medusa Stare”
{5} - You step forward, holding your domineering presence and enter the caverns behind Octavius. He moves steadily, and it’s obvious that he’s moving at a much slower pace for you.
The tunnels around you are rough and branch off at almost constant intervals, but you continue straight down the same tunnel. You can see various eyes watching you, backing away into the darkness as you pass them by. You think hard about what to ask Octavius.
It's not too far of a walk, but you finally find yourself outside the Queen's Chamber.
Retroactive Action: You may ask Octavius for any piece of information that he might know.
Percival Frye, Greenstarfanatic
Do you ever have one of those days where things couldn't get more ridiculous even if they tried so you just say fuck it and go along with it?
Percival was having one of those days.
I...I'm Percival? Percival Frye. I'm a...well I was a human, not sure if I still am now but I guess that's rather beside the point.
He checked his pockets for...well, anything, but didn't really come up with much.
Sorry, don't really have any kind of food either. But I'll tell you what, you seem to know a lot more about this place than I do, so how about you and I stick together for a bit?
If she agrees, follow her and keep an eye out for more pitfalls, but if she doesn't, wish her luck and continue down that original hallway, past the original pit.
((Btw I like the combined turns, as long as it's a case of several people with stuff happening to them together.))
{5} - Artemis looks at you, examining you head to feet.
“Well… Okay. But, I don’t really know anything about here,” Artemis says, gesturing towards your surroundings. “But, I could certainly use some help. You never know when a Spider’s gonna get you, and--” Artemis stops what she’s saying, and smiles at you. “Well, let’s not think about that.”
She pulls herself over the wooden board wall and into the hallway you had initially come from, dragging you behind her. She peers around the corner, inching almost comically down the hallway before stopping you with a gesture of silence.
“I saw someone walk into the tunnels. It might be the Spiders. And there’s two others ahead of us, but...” She stops and looks at the corner of the room where the rubble, now no longer smoking, stands. From within the pile, you can hear the lightest of whimpers.
Emerald “Emm”, Sheyra
Emm would stand proudly, savoring the glow of victory. She'd beaten up that giant bug and showed it who was boss! Emerald would preen a bit, entirely ignoring [Octavius] now that he wasn't a threat and had given up. Heroines don't beat up people who have already surrendered, after all!
She'd end up wandering over to the crying nameless man as she deactivated her scales, looking up at him quietly. He seemed really sad and scared... he must really hate bugs like Mistress. She'd purr a bit and bump his leg, rubbing up against him to help him calm down. Maybe she could get some pets for a job well done?
((Rainbow text was great! Also, I'm fine with combined turns when relevant, I think it makes the post flow more smoothly.))
{5} - You savor the momentary thrill of victory, feeling more knowledgeable in how your scales seem to function, cleaning yourself as you deactivate them.
When you look up, you notice the sad man and the shuddering bear. You try to let them know that everything’s alright. You’re here to protect them from scary bugs. And you deserve a reward for beating that monster.
You feel something trigger within you, like static electricity, when you rub up against the man. You momentarily jump as you see the elaborate colorful landscape of somewhere unknown. You feel a waning terror and sadness, and then it’s gone.
Your paw finishes a movement you weren’t conscious of. Floating in front of you is a small ball of multicolored yarn, shifting through the rainbow. It begins to fall before it bounces down the caverns that the shadow man and the spider had gone down.
You Gained a Skill - Empathic Channeling: You can occasionally use the abilities of others while in contact with them.

The kid looks down, noticing the cat and bends down to pet it on the head with one hand while releasing his hold of the bear and unconsiously painting and creating a ball of yarn with the other, like he had done to create the blanket and the teddy bear, his sadness and fear slowly fading away due to the cat's comforting presence.
{4} - There’s a lot you don’t know. You watch as the green-eyed cat comes up to you, rubbing against your legs in what feels like an act of comfort.
You let go of the bear. It does a tumble as it’s released--a perfect somersault--before coming to a stop in a sitting position, looking up at you. It doesn’t appear to shiver anymore, but it looks like it wants… guidance? Instruction, maybe.
You suddenly realize you are holding a multicolored ball of yarn, shifting hues like a rolling mist. You pet her and ready to toss the ball, when you notice another ball, exactly the same as the one you're holding, bouncing down the caverns after the shadow man and the spider.
Huh. Weird.
Pepper, Dustin Hache
in, when you get a chance.
Name:Pepper.
Arcana:The Bow, The Dragon, The shield.
Description: an elderly brown and black mutt dog, slightly resembling a mix of Malinois and some sort of hound. Despite her age, whatever brought her here breathed new life into her.
Leading event:She was experiencing some sort of nightmare, now lost to the darkness of sleep. She had otherwise enjoyed a somewhat sedentary life with a room all to herself bordering the porch of her owner’s home.
Favorite sandwich: plain steak sandwich, preferably medium rare and with minimal bread.
Something has gone horribly wrong. You don’t know exactly what, but the white room that had existed a moment ago is now replaced with a wall of red flashing exclamation marks.
WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!
The verbal alert repeats endlessly in this red-hued room. Is this because you said yes?
“I am sorry that I cannot formally name you, Elemental Sniper. There has been a catastrophic error, and you must leave immediately. Embrace for--” You enter a world of pain. As you let out a howl of pain, a jet of flames leaves your mouth, coating you in ash. Try as you might, you can’t seem to form anything but fire, and the world of darkness returns.
You Gained a Skill - Hellhound: You can fire a jet of flames from your mouth.
Environment
Octavius motions behind himself to Umbrol, pointing into the large room ahead. Umbrol takes a cautionary look.
On a throne of bone and web sits a thin-framed woman. Dangling from one of her fingers is a small spider, which she casually flicks away. She is slouched on the throne, holding her bored look in her hand. As Octavius enters the room, she turns towards the intruder, and Umbrol gets the briefest of glances at the dark empty sockets before his shadow covers his eyes.
“I have someone here to meet you, my queen.” The creaking of his bowing legs echoes through the chamber. There’s a long pause, before Umbrol can hear feet tapping on the stone ahead. The Queen of Spiders stops right in front of him.
“What can I do for you, Shadow-eyes? Will you look me in the eyes and ask it?”
In the Stone Room, the pile of rubble begins to move and quiver. Emm and ?-?-? look over as chunks of stone begin to move aside and a paw emerges from within. Artemis rushes over, followed by Percival, who begin to start removing the remainder of the broken stone. Under the debris is a brown dog that steadily gets to her feet, before shaking the remaining rocks from her fur.
