You snap your top towards the troop, and hurl the way a vicious growl.
"What?!! This is grave! How can you tell of it only now?" you censure the foreman. The soldiers around clutch their arms tighter, while some you see have recoiled briefly. The sitting one but listens, his eyes narrowed and brow set high.
"We have been attacked by beastmen indeed, my own kin no less!" you continue. "And we would very much like to discover why."
Unlike some in the crowd the speaker seems dauntless. He does not adjust his tone in the slightest, but replies swiftly.
"There is not yet an established connection with the case at hand, I am afraid." he proclaims, sending signs for the soldiers to settle. "The information I have is rather vague and the little bits we possess currently differ substantially. I will take note of the deermen though, for that we haven't heard. So far it's been wolves and crows, and dogs, they describe..."
"How old are those reports?" you ask, once the chief finishes. "So far I do not see how these could be considered insignificant."
"A couple days old. But mind you, I should clarify - they come from the northern border, and we all know the middle kingdom is being pushed on by the savages at this moment. Our betters suspect these are mere strays from the area, but it is being investigated further. See, we can help each other here, I think I know how to put your offer in use. Now, where did yours occur? And that wound of yours, I assume that would be relevant, then, could we examine it?"
