Dammit, what happened to the Ameripol thread?

Honestly nothing.

HOPEFULLY it is just a cool down locking.

---

Edit: Wait a minute... Your smjjames who owns the thread... so... you didn't lock it.

So someone contacted ToadyOne.

Of the people involved... Probably I am the one who was reported.

HEY PEOPLE, NEONIVEK WANTS TO KNOW HOW MANY HAVE BLOCKED HIM! SOUND OFF!

Quick Edit: Pfft. Look at the newest moderation log.
At the risk of sounding like an idiot: Where moderation logs?

Ooh! I could block you! You want me to?! I'll do it if you ask!

I prefer nobody does...

But I am an overly sensitive bastard.

I'm pretty sure people use the block function much less than you think. I've never used it for example.

They don't... Though people are starting to use it for me :P, I am probably the most blocked non-troll right now.

---

Anyhow, I've been rather depressed all day...

was invited to visit family friends but I had nothing to do so I left (I don't really fit in to be honest)... They got rather coarse with me.

Then Forum Stuff (I don't elaborate because not only are people here but also... I almost avoided doing a post period because I didn't want to guilt anyone...)

I also can't seem to get anyone to play games with anymore and I keep forgetting who I am playing with on what... I need to take more initiative. Made a thread for Pokémon Insurgence but people who are interested don't post from what I see.

I just want to curl up in bed and stay there... and I can't shake off my depression anymore.

*sigh*

I wonder how many people I will manage to get to block me before the year is through.

Wish I could see who they are.

Also I will say (no I am not back) if anyone wants to know any of my positions and is serious about it.

Feel free to PM me. Might be easier in a direct format.

Fine I am done. Continue on.

I've been on forums with strong "no-politics" policies. Too bad toady doesn't have that here...

I can't help looking in here occasionally, and I almost never see anything good.

A dedicated Politics section is fine.

Heck even though people get heaped on here... It is still nice to have one.

---

But yes Continue. I am not going to be here for the rest of the day (maybe week but frankly I wouldn't bet on it).

Lets cool this before someone gets banned or the thread locked. also people really need to just stop using the vague "left and right" they don't mean anything as they are too vague as terms for groups.

It is basically just me versus everyone else... So who really needs to cool it?

Pretty much each and every single most you made in the last few months has been about Trumo getting a bad rap, or neonazis getting vilified,  etc..

This is COMPLETE and utter fiction. You made this up.

Sort of. They are also the loudest proponents FOR bigotry.

Ugh... I'm done.  You have completely and utterly lost me.

Because you never tried. You are too busy attacking to even attempt to understand.

In fact you never asked any real honest questions. Just one accusation and one "Wait what?".

Neo, he was found guilty of everything from racial profiling to the deaths of inmates resulting from his prison conditions. In court. He proudly takes responsibility for these things, he just doesn't accept that he did anything wrong. These things are publicly documented, go look them up. Everyone here already has.

Then why isn't he convicted? All of these are indictable offenses... many of which would get him a life sentence.

Ok, and that conjured literal nazis up on the streets of Charlottesville?

Those Nazis are what created the "walk on eggshells because one person on the left hit someone with a padlock"?

Both Bernie Sanders AND Hillary Clinton Sang the "Racism, Sexisms, Homophobia" song... So this environment is COMPLETELY 100% created by the Left... They are now living in the world they created...

Wait, what?...

You will have to explain this much better, because I can only interpret this as a claim that the reason we have bigots marching on our streets now, openly and proudly proclaiming bigotry, is because the left is opposed to bigotry.

They both played the "Ism" card.

Bernie by attacking "White people", Hillary mostly attacking Trump.

Do you not see any problem with looking at the actions they committed and saying "what they believed didn't matter, only what they did"? Or in particular, coming in to a discussion and demanding we don't consider their beliefs but only their crimes in isolation? They acted because of what they believed in.

And, in the case of an elected official, they acted in ways designed to increase their odds of getting reelected. Arpaio was a racist tyrant, but he was specifically a Republican racist tyrant who made his inmates wear pink underwear and live in terrifying conditions partially because it polled well.

What Judge allowed that prison to remain in place?

Somebody gets hit with a bike lock, and everyone remotely associated with the political concept of "the left" has to walk on eggshells for months to not be characterized as out of control violent with hunt mobs.

No one on the left is walking on egg shells except to hide from the left. The only thing is happening is people are not taking the BS anymore. No one is buying that just because you cloak yourself in virtue that you are a good person as much and the hostility of the left is being flipped onto itself.

Both Bernie Sanders AND Hillary Clinton Sang the "Racism, Sexisms, Homophobia" song... The news sang that song non-stop for months. So this environment is COMPLETELY 100% created by the Left. They are now living in the world they created.

Are you actually saying that whether or not the left is properly treated over things like that bike lock are somehow on par with, and therefore have bearing on the things that Joe Arpaio did?

No, people just kept bringing that up about "Me". It has nothing to do with the topic, which frankly should have been what I said when it first started.

Being ok with pardoning Joe Arpaio is like being ok with pardoning Al Capone for tax evasion because hey, no one can prove he's a murderous crime lord.

Wasn't Al Capone charged with Tax Evasion because while they cannot definitively pin the crimes on him, they can at LEAST prove he didn't pay income tax on any of his dirty dealings.

While Joe Arpaio was charged with contempt of court which is... well... breaking court etiquette. He wasn't charged with contempt because nothing else would stick.

And no, this was more that I was saying that of all the controversial pardonings this one isn't really the most egregious... or all that egregious... or even if we accepted that he personally killed ALL those people, it wouldn't even be the biggest loss of life caused by someone who received a pardon.

Quote
Except we can absolutely prove that Joe Arpaio was a horrific tyrant who broke the law on the regular

Can we? Because this is a big deal.

It's because you don't apply this attitude consistently.  Your inconsistencies follow a trend.  It's hard for this to go on for so long without people eventually interpreting it as a preference.

Because if I know something, I typically don't ask questions.

But then how do you know you know something, Neo? If you only verify things you don't initially believe, you run the risk of a lot of false positives.

That is a fair statement and completely true. I could, and anyone really, ask more questions even if I feel I am well versed in a topic.

Because if I know something, I typically don't ask questions. I am much more aware of Leftist Ideologies than I am on Right Ideologies.

The frustrating part is the biggest enemy to the Left... Is the Left.

The longer the Trump Presidency goes on the more obvious why Trump won, and that is the worst part at this point. He has the magical ability to bring out the worst in everyone.
