American sprinter Tyson Gay has confirmed he will have surgery on his groin at the end of the season.
Gay has been struggling with the injury all summer but still ran 9.71 seconds in the World Championship 100 metres to claim a silver medal behind Usain Bolt.
Lets wish him a speedy recovery.

Anyway, when I read it I thought you were saying it was gay to have groin surgery. I didn't understand how that would be gay.

Seems like a trick to me, I was expecting some sort of homophobic rant or at least something about someone really happy to have groin surgery.

I read an article about a conservative, christian, right-wing website that changed "offensive" words.
Gay was changed to homosexual.
They had an article about Tyson Gay.
Hilarity ensues.

That's an unfair comment, although some elements of that story are ridiculous. For instance:

Wait what? The word gay is not mutually meaning homosexual. If you say somebody is gay - it can mean so many things - if you call them homosexual - it means their gay. This person is dumb, does he even realize the irony he has created? By calling Tyson Gay - Tyson Homosexual - He implies he is homosexual - so shouldn't he then just be called Tyson Gay? And If gay people can be called gay - then why censor the word at all?

Groin Surgery is as vague as saying someone is going to have surgery somewhere on the face. It just doesn't say a lot.
