In any other community, this thread would have been reported.

Yeah.  That's why I love DF.

Sometimes the amount of evil on this forum gives me a little thrill akin to sexual pleasure horrifies me. Just saw a thread in the modding sub-forum about how to create slaves and how much they should cost....

There must be a way to combine these ideas...

I occasionally feel truly terrible for killing thousand year old happily married goblins. Then I remember that it's a game and nobody cares, so I butcher them in the most horrific way possible.

I agree with Urist. Steampunk is like Darth Vader winning Holland's Next Top Model. It would be awesome but not something I'd like in this game.
Unfortunately dying involves the amputation of the entire body from the dwarf.

Well, no one forced them to attack you without any reasons once your population reach 80.

Wait, Toady did.

You people are sick.

Now if you'll excuse me I'm trying to figure out how to get my entire fortress killed.

There were that thread about the human trade liasion living under the brokers thread who kept popping out a baby once a year, apparently because she were married to a caravan guard who sent out his spores to impregnate her once a year.

So if we go by that, elves would, since they're sentient, just need a lot of females married to men, while on the same map.
That's the trouble, they need to be married...

Wait, that werewolf thread, he added pet and some other tag ([CAN_LEARN] & [CAN_SPEAK]) meant they formed relationship and finally 2 werewolves married...

...

Add [PET] to elves?

What if you embark on an elf town?

I've never done it.  Do they breed then?  If you add [PET] would they?

Anyways, elves and humans and goblins and such won't reproduce, but you could always breed almost-people creatures like Mountain Gnomes or whatever if you want to create some set-up to butcher sentient creatures for leather shoes and trade goods.

I always heard that gnomes were connected to shoemaking...I just didn't know the sordid details.  :o

Lock up your elf merchants and remove the intelligent tag. High Five!
