I've been watching survivorman and now I have the itch. Gah. But I've played Don't Starve too much. Same for Neo Scavenger. My lappy is a bit too weak for Seven Days to Die or The Forest. Wayward is cute but a bit too nintendeoy for me. TerraFirmaCraft is OK, but even so the vanilla minecraft is still too present and I'm rather bored of it. Loving Factorio, but its not really survival.
So... Any suggestions? I would be super grateful.

Put a map on your wall, if you have none, buy one or use google maps.
Get a bowie knife, now this step is important, it has to be a bowie knife. Throw it at the map. Whatever it sticks to is your destination.
Buy as many eggs as you can, eat them, the number of eggs you manage to eat is the amount of days you have to get to your destination and how long you must stay there before returning home.
Strip naked, take the bowie knife. Survive.

You probably already know, but Cataclysm DDA isn't purely realistic since its post apocalyptic, has zombies and mutations and whatever, but its survival simulation is pretty in-depth including having to keep your body temperature at a reasonable level, eat and drink regulary, craft and cook tons of things, building your own shelter and even vehicles, etc.
If you're looking for something less ASCII and light on computer resources, you could try Salem, or its predecessor, heaven&hearth, altough neither of them are too similar to the games you mentioned, except for the survival thing.
If you're looking for a different kind of survival, you could try darkwood, altough it isn't exactly light on the system requirements just yet, given its still an alpha.

If you don't mind the graphics or lack thereof, Unreal World & Cataclysm.

On a serious note I'd like to recommend Unreal World. Doesn't get much more survival...y.

Haven was fun for a while back, but its a bit too demanding for me these days. Single player is better. Thanks for the other recommendations guys.

Terraria is basically a Metriodvania with a dollop of Minecraft.

It's already been mentioned, but Unreal World is pretty good as far as survival sims go. It's based in iron age Finland. You can hunt, fish, trap, forage, farm, craft clothing and tools, build shelter of various kinds (from lean-to's to big houses), and trade in villages and with foreign traders - among other things. And seasonal weather - different forage availability based on season, animals with winter coats being worth more to trade, cold and snow in winter, ice fishing, etc.

As others previously stated, if you are searching for survival game UW is what you are looking for. If thats too hard, then you are not looking for survival game but something similiar to "survival game" (I'm not saying that's not fun). Like Battlefield/CoD is similiar to Operation Flashpoint when it comes to military simulations.

Notrium, you select a race and crashland on a planet. Lots of crafting, though the game is quite old. Still worth a shot though!

You are stranded on a small island, you have to build shelter, get food and water, create weapons/tools to hunt/fish, protect yourself from dangerous animals etc.
The main goal in the vanilla game is to collect enough food & water, and build a raft to get to the next island and so on

The mod contains alot of new stuff not found in the vanilla game, no story mode atm though, and you play on a random generated island.
