Title: Do military dwarves drink alcohol?

I recently looked through some of my military's dwarves profile and for some reason none of them have had a drink of alcohol in a very long time.

I always have plenty from caravans and they are almost always off-duty but it seems they never drink it. Is this supposed to happen?

Are they under orders to carry water?  If they are, they won't drink booze.

yeah if they carry water thats what they drink..although i thought that was only if they were on duty. My military dwarves spend 3/4 of their off duty time swilling my alcohol supplies. If i cant find one...i look to the booze stockpiles. works all the time.

as far as I know, military dwarves don't become less effective for not drinking booze so it's not really a big deal anyway. I usually set them to drink booze anyway though because the booze stockpile is usually closer then whatever random pond or river they would fill the waterskin with if they had one (I never bother building wells).

How about a 2x1 booze stockpile near where they are stationed?  That keeps mine ready for the fight at all times!
