Title: Prepared meals stockpiling
Post by: hisn00bness on August 06, 2007, 03:54:00 pm
I can't figure this one out :

Where do I go to designate a stockpile to only accept prepared food; say biscuits or roasts and nothing else ?

I see a 'prepared food' toggle in the stockpile menu but I can't seem to get it to work.

Please help; my cook is angry with me for letting his masterpieces go to rot; and the dwarves are getting very drunk because of lack of sustenance and too much ale !

I believe the hotkey to activate prepared food in the food stockpile submenu is 'u'.  Also make sure food hauling is enabled in dwarves' labor lists and the fortress 'O'ptions screen.

see thats the thing; when i create a food stockpile the 'prepared food' toggle is already bold. using u to put it on or off didn't get any results...
the stockpiles remain empty. I've got 40 ish dwarves and 6 full time haulers.

if the meals are already happily in a multi-purpose stockpile, they wont be moved.

you'll have to remove prepared meals from the acceptance list of the existing stockpile, and/or use the "take from pile" command to transfer stuff between piles.
