The year is... uh... let's just ballpark it ar 2500. In 2100, the Terra Firma Alliance establisted intergalactual dominance, but that was quickly ruined by the assassination of the President, John Doe. The Alliance fragmented, splitting into several alliances of its own right. And in true feudalism style, they all declared war on each other. In 2250, Cloning was perfected-endless swarm of clones-or "Redshirts"-could be used instead of people with families. However, they are all very much under equipped. VERY much so.
You are a Redshirt.
Your job is to land on a planet with the Redshirt Spawner, take said planet and move on. Your weapons... are limited. So is the spawner-it only has 500 Redshirt in production. But you can overcome all odds. You. Are. Redshirts.
Your first mission is at Isola-the RED army (you) want to take the mining outpost from the YEL forces. They have 200 Shirts, and low defences. The Captain (The first person to post) will recieve a Grenade Launcher, everyone else will be armed with Standard Rifles. Your ship lands in the desert 1km off the base itself: what do you do?
((Basically, large scale deathmatch because why not.))

IN!
-
((I reccomend you get an action in, this is going to be fast paced))

KILL 'EM ALL!

SHOOT GRENADES TO THE HEAVENS.
AND BY THAT, I MEAN...YEAH. TO THE HEAVENS.

CHECK COMMANDER. DOES HE HAVE CO POWER?
BELIEVE IN POWER OF INFANTRY RUSH REGARDLESS, RUSH TO NEAREST COVER. REPEAT UNTIL SEEING ENEMY.

BATTLE FOR ISOLA
RED: 500 Vs 200 :YEL
Spinal I fires off a few rounds towards the base! [2] They all hit the sand before the base.
Captain Green I fires the grenades skywards! [6] The wind catches them, and they arc towards the YEL base! They explode on contact, taking out the two men stationed on the wall and another behind it! Unfortunately, there's now a big hole where the wall used to be... and there are already YEL troops lining up their shots!
Errol I dives for cover! [1] He decides the YEL base is good cover. He starts running towards it, making him a good target...
Caerwyn I scouts the area! [6] He finds the sewer entrance-it will most likely lead to the midst of combat but it looks horrifically dangerous...
YEL Actions: [3+2]
YEL I, stationed on the wall, spots Errol I and shoots! [5] Headshot! Errol I is the first casualty of the RED army!
YEL II, on the opposite side of the blast of the wall, tries to take out the captain! [2] The bullets barely even clear the barrel.
YEL III, from inside the base walls, tries to get atop them to achieve a better angle! [2] He can't find any stairs...
YEL IV, also inside, uses the new hole to take a potshot at the Captain! [3] The bullets come close but lack the finality to kill.
YEL V follows in YEL IV's actions and attempts to neutralise the Captain! [6] A bullet flies straight into Green I's brain, but his finger retracts, causing the Grenade Launcher to deploy its payload... which hits YEL V right in the face, and catches YEL IV in the blast! There is now a grenade laucher for the taking.
RED: 498 vs 195 :YEL
((Also instant respawns))

I'll join.
Do you mean "galactic dominance" or "intergalactic dominance," as in multiple galaxies, because if the latter holy carp that's a lot of FTL.
Locate unoccupied vehicle, artillery, or heavy weapon. Commandeer it. If none are available, locate one occupied by an enemy, kill him/her, and THEN commandeer it.
-
I'll join, find a place to shoot from safely, while trying to become the historic awesome red shirts that freed Italy
-
GRAB MY LAUNCHER AGAIN.
Use the launcher as a shield, and CHAAAAARGE!
-
Lay down, spray and pray at the base!
-
Charge at the YEL base, shooting widely. Once there, Riflewhip all of them!
-
ATTEMPT SNIPING WITH RIFLE
DO PELVIC THRUST ON ANY KILL
-
RESPAWN
SHOOT IN GENERAL DIRECTION OF ENEMIES
-
((I'm in))
Walk forward, holding gun at hip. Fire, trying to empty seemingly endless clip at new hole in wall in 80's action movie style. Realize clip still isn't empty.
Say: "Argle bargle joonka fuck you YELs!"
Continue emptying endless magazine at soldier's near hole in the wall.
-
FIRE RIFLE AT HIP WHILE WAVING IT FROM SIDE TO SIDE AND YELLING 'GET SOME!' REPEATEDLY.
-
Oh this looks fun!
Provide covering fire by spraying the walls, trying to force the yellows down so we can advance!
-
Take any available soldiers, and storm that sewer entrance! Lay down plastic explosives all over it, and when we're clear...Boom! The ground will cave in on those dirty yellow!
-
Lay down suppressing fire on wherever enemies are.
-
BATTLE FOR ISOLA
RED: 498 vs 195 :YEL
GreatWyrm I tries to find some heavy weaponary! [2] There aren't any to be found, sadly.
SoHow I makes a break for safety! [3] He finds some debris from the earlier grenade explosion which rolled down the slight incline, but it's not going to protect him too much.
Green II reclaims his heavy weaponary and CHARGES! [4] The bullets bounce off the launcher and he's now at the hole made earlier by his explosive efforts.
Werty gets down, prays and sprays! [2] Click-click-click. He forgot to load up the gun...
TCM I charges into the frey and begins rifle whipping! [4] He knocks a guy's jaw off sideways. That has GOT to hurt.
BFEL I uses his rifle as a more ranged rifle. [3] The bullet bounces off a brick which spooks one of the YEL shirts stationed on the wall, causing him to tumble to the ground below. And there's a grenade launcher tank and a rifle whipper down there.
Errol II shoots in the general direction of the enemy forces. [3] The bullets cause the other guy on the wall to fall down into the impromptu mosh pit.
Sambojin I puts the gun to his hip and does this 80's style! [2] And by 80's style I mean James Bond Villain style. He missed everything.
Dirg I does a similar thing, except with more getting some. [1] The rounds hit a random RED in the back of the head! Oh dear...
Maxinum I sprays the walls! [4] Anyone who wanted to get up there is now heavily reconsidering it.
Caer I summons a team of three more RED shirts and gets some Explosives! [2] "Uh.... what explosives?"
Fireiy I lays out some suppressive fire! [5] Suppressive? Pah. You haul the gun up and lay the rounds into three YEL brains in what seems to be slow motion. It was truly glorious. Shame it wasn't done in image form.
YEL Actions: [2]
YEL I goes man to man with Green II! [6] Green II pulls the trigger at close range-they both die in a spectacular explosion.
YEL II charges TCM I! [1] RIFLE WHIP. He's going to need a new jaw at some point... assuming someone can revive him.
RED: 496 vs 189 :YEL
((I can safely say that Rifle Whip is SUPER EFFECTIVE.))
-
Start jogging towards hole in wall, still firing bursts as I jog.
Say: "Lobsloobin bakkall mofren yo minga!" whilsts jogging.
Once nearing wall, keep firing. But aim a little tiny bit better this time. Ignore the fact that there might be redshirts in area where I'm firing.
-
((I want in!))
Load rifle, shoot it at nearest enemy.
-
Take carefully aimed shots at the enemy
-
Move to commandeer the grenade launching tank.
-
Hide behind TCM.
Get Grenade Launcher back. Shoot Stuff.
-
Find cover, fire at baddies.
-
WHIP THOSE BLOODY BASTARDS INTO SHAPE, GET SOME PLASTIC EXPLOSIVES, DETONATORS, FUSES AND LIGHTERS, AND GET 'EM TO PACKING IT ON THE ROOFS AND WALLS IN KEY LOCATIONS, THEN BLOW THAT SHIT SKY-HIGH!
-
RUN TO HOLE IN WALL WHILE OCCASIONALY TAKING POT SHOTS AT ANYTHING YELLOW.

BATTLE FOR ISOLA
RED: 496 vs 189 :YEL
Sambojin I charges into battle, gun blazing! [5] Two YEL redshirt taste the lead with their brains.
Tomio I locks, loads and charges into combat! [1] He shoots the Grenade Launcher! It explodes!
Fireiy takes carefully aimed shots to the YEL forces. [1] A random RED takes the bullet. Whoops.
Maxinum moves to the... tank? What tank? [2] The dice agrees with me. There was no tank. And the Grenade Launcher was destroyed anyway, so that plan would have been pointless...
Green III, after discovering the lack of a Grenade Launcher, opens fire! [3] The bullets cause some nerves amongst the YEL forces.
Spinal I looks for cover and some shots! [3] He finds an average pile of rubble, but no time to shoots, I'm afraid.
Caer I demands exposives! [2] "Uh.... nope. Still no explosives."
Dirg I charges in and takes some pot shots! [1] His stupidity gives the YEL army a morale boost and they seem ready to charge into combat!
YEL Actions: [1]+1
YEL I charges in and attempts to spray the general area! [6] He kills TCM I and Fireiy I, but a bullet ricochets and he takes it to the cranium!
YEL II also opens fire in the midst of combat. [4] Tomio takes it to the skull.
BATTLE FOR ISOLA
RED: 492 vs 186 :YEL
((The body count is slowly yet surely rising...))
-
Move around the enemy base, and charge it from the rear with some fellow redshirts.
-
((I'm really starting to wonder if I should start aiming at my team mates, maybe then I'll actually cause some damage to the enemy.))RUN UP TO NEAREST YELLOW AND BITE HIS THROAT OUT. GRIN AT HIS FRIENDS AND MOTION THEY'RE NEXT.
-
Pick up the Tomislav that I inexplicably happened to have, and unload through the hole!
-
CHARGE IN
DEPLOY RIFLE BARRAGE
-
KEEP ON FIRING, EVEN THROUGH DEATH.
-
IN!!
Run up to hole in the wall and take cover there.
-
CHARGE, SPRAYING AND PRAYING FTW
-
Run through hole in wall. Ignore any RED or YEL troops barring the tank (or any heavy style weapons/armour/emplacements around hole in wall). Fire two bursts of basic rifle at modern, heavily armoured vehicle, fully expecting it to blow up with a massive gasoline fueled explosion. If there is no vehicle/emplacement, fire at nearest barrel/building, with the exact same results expected due to the general level of explodium that everything is made of.
Laugh a bit as all YEL troops in general vicinity fall over dead for no apparent reason whilst myself and all RED troops remain unharmed by the explosion.
Say: "YELs hoobla hoo tu Yo' Mama."
Continue smiling at the destruction a few bullets caused.
-
Try to locate enemy-occupied vehicles or artillery. Disable user. Take control.
-
FIRE!
-
Thought I read there was a tank. Oh well, redshirt's aren't smart anyway.
Fire at the yellows. If there's an opening to really take control of this battle, then do that. :P
-
BATTLE FOR ISOLA
RED: 492 vs 186 :YEL
Ebbor I gathers a small group and heads around the rear! [1] A stationed and manned Machine Gun is defending the area!
Dirg I goes in hardcore vampire style! [4] ...Ouch. That is not a pretty sight. The YEL forces don't seem too spooked though...
Green III draws a Tomislav! [2] I mean, an imaginary Tomislav. Everyone laughs at him a bit.
Slowpoke I deploys a rifle barrage! [2] It misses everything ever.
Tomio II charges through death and respawns! [6] Three YEL shirts explode in gore, but Tomio trips and shoots himself down!
Tophat I runs into the fray, mostly for cover. [1] The YEL are fed up with this and bring out two Machine Guns. Cover is no longer an applicable word.
Sambojin I unloads on a wall, hoping it will explode! [6] The bullet hits a pipe, which quickly explodes, taking the wall out and igniting the next section of gas piping, which also explodes. 20 YELs were killed in the initial blast. However, what comes up must come down, and all the debris begins to fall, taking out Tomio II, Slowpoke I, Dirg I, three RED shirts in Ebbor's platoon, five in the main fray, three more YELs and the conductor of the event, Sambojin I.
GreatWyrm I tries to take a Machine Gun! [4] A quick bullet to the brain puts the gun wielder down and GreatWyrm now has a potent weapon.
YEL Actions: [3]
YEL I, the Machine Gunner defending against Ebbor I, opens fire! [6] He rips apart all but Ebbor I, but his gun runs ou of ammo and he forgot his rifle.
YEL II, the machine gunner in the main front, unloads in the burning wreckage. [3] The bullets take out a single RED.
YEL III tries to call in support from a comms station! [1] The message is intercepted by RED, who will send in a bomber squad in 3 turns.
BATTLE FOR ISOLA
RED: 477 vs 158 :YEL
((So muuch death))
-
CHARGE THE CLOSEST MACHINE GUN AND SHOOT THE GUNNER AT POINT-BLANK RANGE, WHILE YELLING AT THE SISSIES WHO ARE STAYING PUT.
Edit: edited a bit.
-
Fire at the baddies. Controlled, aimed shots take precedence over bullets per second.
-
(( How good was Sambojin I? More kills than anyone, more own-team kills than anyone, and even a glorious death. That's how good!
Now onto Sambojin II))
Sambo II: Run swiftly and silently, like a ninja, towards the area that the explosion happened. Vaguely pretend that the entire enemy army can't see you. Utter not a word in the lead up to your stealthy killing spree. Not yet. They'll know when it's time. They'll be dead.
-
Hooray!
Use machine gun on important targets! Ideally enemies!
-
GET THOSE FUCKING EXPLOSIVES BY TURNING THE NEAREST RED SOLDIERS INTO...WELL...EXPLOSIVES, THEN DO ALL THAT SHIT THAT I SAID BEFORE.
Jeez.
-
GET THOSE FUCKING EXPLOSIVES BY TURNING THE NEAREST RED SOLDIERS INTO...WELL...EXPLOSIVES, THEN DO ALL THAT SHIT THAT I SAID BEFORE.
Jeez.
((Hey, you've got two and a bit turns to die amusingly and then you can BE a part of the bomber squad. I wonder if that was a bomber squadron (as in planes) or a squad of Redshirts with bombs? Either way, hurry up and get dying, or you'll miss out. ))
Edit: Well, I looked it up. Dieing isn't a word. Apparently dying is. Which I thought meant "to dye", but apparently it means "to cease living". So do that in two turns.
-
THROW CORPSES AT THE ENEMY AND SHOOT THEM WHILE THEY'RE CRUSHED
-
Steal a tank, then blow up all yellow guys.
-
...
I'll shoot yellows, but this time, I actually do it rather than not getting a roll :P
-
Request additional weapons
-
PICK UP MY CORPSES AND WIELD THEM AS DEADLY WEAPONS.
-
PRESS PAUSE, GO INTO OPTIONS, CHANGE AIMING MODE FROM HARDCORE TO CASUAL. LAUGH AT YELLOWS AS I GUN THEM DOWN WITH TARGET ASSIST.
-
Snipe the yellow machine gunner, then run up to the turret and gain control of it.
-
(( Any idea of an update time? This is a fun RTD to play in. ))
-
Charge!
-
((It's getting late
And I should be sleeping
But I'm making this happen))
((Also no more numerals. Sorry.))
BATTLE FOR ISOLA
RED: 477 vs 158 :YEL
TopHat charges the machine gunner! [5] He kills the wielder with a bullet from 3cm straight to the forehead! That certainly scared some f the YEL forces...
Spinal takes aim and fires with caution. [4] He gets two smooth headshots off with little environmental damage.
Sambojin acts like a ninja and enters the battle! [5] His ninja like motions mean that pretty much nobody can see him. For all intents and purposes, he's invisible.
GreatWyrm DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA.[4] Four of the YEL shirts rounded the corner and got a face full of lead, courtesy of a very large gun.
Caerwyn demands explosives! [6] He turns into a pack of C4. Luckily, his allies had the sense to plant him in the sewers. Unluckily, the blast took out the ground under the section where all the fighting was happening: Everyone in/on/around that section dies from falling! A total of 20 on each side died.
Lord Slowpoke, after respawning, realises that he can use corpses to shoot crushed people! [4] He finds a bunch of YELs held in place by some debris. He throws a corpse and shoots them. How fun.
Tomio tries to find a tank! [6] He finds one... being manned by a YEL.
Maxinum opens fire! [6] He shoots an ally in the back of the head, who falls into the new pit and crushes a YEL. Success...?
Fireiy requests more firepower. [3] He gets another Assault Rifle.
Green decides that corpses make good weapons! [1] Maxinum shoots you in the back of the head!
Dirg presses pause. [1] He accidentally selects Hard Difficulty. Oh dear...
Ebbor tries to quicksnipe the gunner. [3] He misses horrifically!
SoHow charges. [2] I LIED

Leap atop the tank with a ninja-flip and in one smooth motion stab the guy in the cupola in the brain with my rifle barrel through his eye. Then jump inside the tank and kill all the crew with various implements laying around inside (including a tank-cannon shell and a discarded chopstick).

Yes, Live bodies are much more effective.
Respawn and pick up Maxinum to use him as a weapon. 'Accidentally' hit him against the ground every once and a while.
-
Steal tank, kill shit with tank.
-
Somehow returning to life, this brave warrior shall charge in, guns blazing! Shoot the fire-bats floating above the Yellow's base! What's that? You don't know what a Fire-Bat is?
Fire Bat: On death, explodes into liquid flame, coating a large area around death. Extremely dangerous. They tend to float around places where there's dead people.

LOOK FOR GROUP OF YELLOWS HUDDLED TOGETHER THEN SHOOT THE ONE I THINK IS CARRYING EXPLOSIVES.

Break free of Green's hold, somehow get between him and the yellows and shoot yellows, using Green as a body shield of his own!
Two can play that game! :)

(( I normally wouldn't do it for an RTD, but just in case the GM forgot about it, ummmmm, Bump?!
Is it all that necessary to wait for people's turns in an instant respawn deathmatch? ))
