Title: LCS Black Market Mod 0.6

Yep, I made a small mod. I am, of course, expanding on this small mod. Well, hope you like it, LCS is incredibly easy to mod, and for that I am happy. Expect some updates quite soon, as I got nothing else to do anyways, and I expect that this stage is FAR from finished!
Please give me feedback and that kind of stuff, I like knowing where to improve and that.
I could also use help from somebody who is good at mapping and that kind of stuff.

Currently there are 7 new weapons, 4 new pieces of armor, and 2 new vehicles.

Changelog
0.1: Posted the mod, 1 weapon, 1 piece of armor, and 1 vehicle.
0.2: 2 more weapons, 1 more armor piece, and 1 more vehicle.
0.3: Fixed an error with the Heavy Sniper not being able to recieve ammo. Fixed prices.
0.4: Cars from the black market can now be a liberal green! Heavy Bodyarmor and Sealsuits are now impossible to make, you gotta loot them. Because its crappy arch-conservative armor.
0.5: 2 more guns. And 2 pieces of armor, one is to show how much time you've wasted if you can get it.
0.6: 2 more guns.

Just extract the archive into your LCS art folder and replace old ones.
Also, Mediafire decided to take a dump on me and keeps ruining my stuff so I constantly have to change the URL, because the update system is the worst crap ever.

The changes should be purely XML-based so there's no reason it wouldn't.

It should be, do you mean old versions of LCS? Quite sure it would. Backup your files if you want, might be a good idea.

I'd support making SEAL & Heavy armors unavailable to make, and perhaps an LCS Stealth armor that would be SWAT or Police with the Stealth bonus.  I mooded my version to let the LCS buy Vans and for Green to be an available color.

Seems like a good idea, no Arch-Conservative crap, and LCS Stealth armor is already up.  The blackmarket vehicles can now be Liberally Green.

OK, took a look.  Chiefly looked at the XMLs; started a new game as the old one doesn't need new hardware (gov't is totally L+, just waiting for the laws to get moved over).

Uh...I think we have different approaches to Liberalizing the country.  Fortunately, LCS caters to such differences: many roads lead to the same destination and all that.  In all, I'd prefer making a few different SMGs and possibly machine-pistols, along with a SWAT shotgun like the Benelli M4, USAS12, or something like that.

I made the AA12 myself, actually. I made a P90, though I could use a more "High-power" SMG.

Hmm.  I was actually thinking that the P90 would be a good gun to issue to CIA raids--until I read that a civilian version (extended barrel & blocked mags) exists.  Being able to buy 5.7mm commercially (outside of C+ Gun Control, of course) would remove one of the major limiting factors I'd envisioned on the high-powered weaponry.

Everything in the mod is only sold by the Armsdealer, though I noticed you said you overhauled the Department store. Could you possibly make a Black Market location?

Overhauling an existing location is XML work and pretty straightforward.  Could post that code and see what people think--was hoping to make the Department Store a viable option rather than someplace I could go an entire Nightmare Mode without ever visiting.

Making a new location altogether, though, seems like it would call the C++ code, so outside my knowledge at the moment.  Compilers & KA101 don't get along very well.

I made the AA12 myself, actually. I made a P90, though I could use a more "High-power" SMG.
FWIW the MP5K is a machine-pistol: basically a 9mm Semi with 3-round burst, minor boost to accuracy, less armorpiercing than the MP5, I think one point worse burst penalty, and size 5 so it's concealable.  Legal under C Gun Control due to lower stopping power.

I might consider a MAC-11 or Mini-Uzi: 5-rd burst/no accuracy bonus for people with loads of SMG skill.

???  I thought the Uzi also had 30-rd mags--Wiki gives it 20, 25, 32, 40, or 50-round 9mm mags.  MP5 uses either 15 or 30, so 30 is probably a good rounding for "9mm SMG"--JA2 this ain't.

(IIRC the Uzi is comparable to the MP5 in terms of overall size.  Not exactly sure which of the Mini-/Micro-Uzi compares to the MP5K.)

i gave it small mags to counter its small size, there have to be some trade offs.
Uzi and MP5 have loads of variants so i just pick the most hollywood one i can, i.e. Uzis are small but only good for spray and pray.

Some Uzis are small, sure.  The full-size one looked about equivalent to the MP5 in terms of size though, and I'd argue that they ought to break down much like the AK and M16 do currently (different label, same stats).

Though I may have to reconsider my plan as the 57-yo Fireman I seduced, with 4 HW skill and 11 Strength, has consistently put all 5 bullets from the M249 I gave him into the CCS opposition.  Doesn't always go for center-mass, granted, but Toasty Mallow just doesn't seem to miss.  Skill 4/stat 11 shouldn't be *that* high.

I'm not Donuts, but I may be able to help.  The mod adds additional items to the game and lets you get them from currently-existing gear dealers (arms dealer NPCs such as the Gang Member, used-car dealer, etc).  I installed it by opening the archive and replacing the xmls in the "art" folder with those from the mod.  (You can move the original xmls elsewhere if you want a backup--they won't hurt anything.)

Be aware that you probably won't be able to afford most of the mod stuff for a while--it's pretty expensive the last time I checked.

You just gotta extract it into the art folder, currently the arms dealers sell my guns and ammo. The car dealership sells the cars. And the armor you can make yourself.

Shotgun gauges are interesting in that the gauge is an inverse scale; 10 gauge is larger than 12, 12 larger than 20, so on and so forth. Also, there are a few italian companies making 24 gauge shotguns. Perhaps consider renaming it?

It is possible to make the Heavy Armor and Seal armor, but I just got lazy and made them require 99 skill at tailoring. And the weird options are there for when you just have too much money. :P

Sniper is the most accurate with a bit more skill. Minigun sprays about 10 shots in a single round, so I suppose it's the most accurate! ^^

Thats cool, but not what I asked. I want to know which is a more accurate assault rifle so I can give it to my fighting squad.
Sniper is the most accurate with a bit more skill. Minigun sprays about 10 shots in a single round, so I suppose it's the most accurate! ^^
I mean out of the P90 and the 7-9 or whatever the other one is.
