This is pretty basic, but did you unzip the game into a separate directory before running the game? One reason the game might not be saving is if you're running it directly from the zip file.Yes, I did unzip it.
Hm, that's a shame. Easy fixes are the best kind.Oh....yes! It's in the Program Files directory! Will move it ASAP and try.
The only other thing that jumps out at me is if there's a permissions issue. Are you running the game from the Program Files directory in Windows 7 or greater? Windows 7 and later are pretty good about security, and prevent programs from writing to the Program Files directory (or anything in it) unless you give the program admin access. LCS is totally ignorant of the proper way for programs to behave in Windows 7 or later, so it probably doesn't handle this issue correctly at all. It might just silently fail to save.
I have the same problem, however I am using Ubuntu, and emulating windows via Wine. None of my saves are actually created. What do you think it may be?

The Windows version of the game saves to the same directory the executable is in. Might crimesquad.exe not have write permission to its own directory?
