I'm really no good at putting together official announcements. Has anybody decided to submit a story to Slashdot about the new release? I'm almost certain it will be published if sent in.

If anybody does submit to Slashdot, please, PLEASE, wait a few days for the "faithful" to download the new version. We don't want the fanbase's heads to explode because they can't get their DF fix if the server is slashdotted.

Yes.  In addition, there may be a showstopper bug.
