Title: When your weapon gets stuck in an opponent...
Post by: Lars M. Nielsen on August 22, 2006, 12:19:00 pm
... press shift-i to interact with it, and pull it from your foe. Warning, you might lose your grip on it, in which case you need to grapple to get in back in your hand. Then you can then try shift-i again.

Very useful for fighting zombies, who don't feel pain, or when fighting multiple foes where you need your weapon for counterstrikes.

Bonus advice for those that don't know it: you can use shift-i to pull out a weapon stuck in you as well. Be warned that you might bleed.

Cool, thanks for telling this. I've always walked away from the enemy to get my weapon back, but I didn't know you can take weapons stuck in you out too. My current character has been walking around with an arrow in his arm for weeks.

Aha!  My archer has a shortsword stuck in his upper leg and I had no idea how to get it out.

Thanks!

Why take it out? What a great conversation piece.

I was just killed by a Cyclops with a two-handed sword stuck in his head.

I had had a swordman ally, that ran away at some point and died, but it was still a pretty humorous picture.

"Whatshisname, the cyclops stands in front of you.
...
Prepare to die!"

[l]ook -> a. Cyclops -> Two handed sword (stuck in head)

My other arm was broken and my weapon gone, so I tried to drop my shield, grab the sword in its head and twist it until he'd drop, but he broke my other arm too before I got hold of the sword.
