Title: Save Editing

When I try to edit a save with Notepad, LCS will request that the runtime close it or somesuch. When I edit it with Notepad++, it works just fine. Why is this?
Also, is there a way to make the save organize itself easier?

Notepad tends to ruin the text format, a space here or line there and the save stops working.
