Title: [Kickstarter] ARKYD-First crowdfunded space telescope

So, the guys who made most of NASA's space tech are looking to crowdfund a remarkably small space telescope. With it they aim to further science with the help of the community.

But all of that doesn't matter really (it is awesome mind you), what matters, is that if you pledge 25 bucks (or more I think) you get to send these guys a picture, which the telescope will display on its outside screen, and then take a 'selfie'.

So you get to take a picture of yourself in Earth orbit (by proxy).

HOW FUCKING AWESOME IS THAT!?!?!?

That is one extreme donation rate. They'll be lucky if they don't have to promise ten of these a month from now.

I think these are mostly from the people in the video. The celebrities or well off scientists and whatnot who are with the project before it even hit KS. That said, I do hope they overshoot the funding a bit, should be interesting to see if they planned any big stretch goals.

Well now I just feel sour because I don't have random wads of $10,000 to throw at my screen.
