Title: Speaker Problem
Post by: AlwayzL3git on June 02, 2013, 01:01:06 pm
I have had these speakers for a few months, and they have been awesome thus far. Now I have a really annoying problem with them;
Whenever I play sound like a song, a popping noise happens every maybe 5 seconds. It only happens when it is playing sound. Every 5 seconds or so a popping or crackling noise plays, and it's really annoying. My computer is new (maybe 2 or 3 months old) so it shouldn't be the sound card, right?

Thanks in Advance--

It's possible that the wire isn't firmly attached to the speaker. You might want to check that.

It probably is the soundcard, unfortunately. Unless you listen exclusively to music that has excessive clipping in it.

I fixed it!
I took out my soundcard, cleaned it with some compressed air and put it back in. Worked like a charm!

Seemed like something for Life Advice, but whatever.
