I'm asking this just to make sure i am not missing something.
There is no way to wear a mask and other type of clothing at the same time? Like mask+expensive suit?
If i want to take spraypaint or crowbar on a mission, somebody has to carry it instead of a weapon?
If so, why? Code limitation?

When you wear a mask, are you naked other than the mask or is there meant to be an outfit that goes with it?
-
I've been thinking on suggesting and even try to implement it myself, so you could wear, say, body armor under clothes

I think it's assumed that you are wearing regular clothes while wearing a mask. Masked Liberals don't get arrested for indecent exposure, after all.

It probably comes with an outfit. Just like black turtlenecks come with matching pants.

My understanding (don't ask me for a source, I've forgotten it :( ) was that it's basically a Kevlar T-shirt under street clothes.
-
It is definitely a bummer. You can't get into a fistfight and have a gun as backup if things get hairy. Some sort of squad inventory would be great.
As for the mask, perhaps some type of body armor could be modded to include balaclava?

It's from the wiki fluff.

Actually, this is something you might be able to pull off. Equip the gun before sending the squad somewhere, and when you arrive, unequip it (it should end up in the squads inventory).
What you can't do is bring a baseball bat and a gun.

Yeah, I've been known to do that. Works fine. Arguably shouldn't help with metal detectors.

It is, actually. But it doesn't seem that realistic to me :P

Speaking of masks, I'm playing 4.07.0 and I sent some people to smash up a sweatshop while wearing masks. However, they still became wanted for vandalism. Am I doing something wrong? Maybe it has something to do with the disguise skill?

I could very well be wrong here, but I think that outside of interrogations, masks are strictly for flavor. I don't think they have any actual ability to prevent your Liberals from being identified and wanted during crimes.

You're not wrong. Masks are only useful for tanking wisdom during interrogations, and personally I think that's alright. If you could just get off scott free from anything for purchasing an inexpensive piece of clothing, that would kinda break the game somewhat.

That's fine. I guess I thought it was a reference to Point Blank, where criminals rob banks wearing the masks of political figures.

It actually predates both Point Blank and the Batman robbery where the Joker and his crew had clown masks. Criminals wearing masks isn't an entirely new idea though, it's been around long enough that Toady would have to say what the mask feature is a reference to, if anything.

*Jboy comes into the thread with a Richard Nixon mask.*
I am not a crook.
Sorry, I had to. But anyway, I think masks should be a kind of secondary clothing, and they should also give some sort of effect, or maybe some flavour? Like conservatives being alarmed right away when wearing them to the bank?
-
Maybe your liberals say cool catch phrases when wearing a certain mask?
And clown masks would be cool imho.
"Liberal Clown Squad walks into the bank"
LCS: "Give us the money and nobody laughs!"
This is what happens when I lose a night's worth of sleep...
