Hey guys, been playing some masterwork lately, and I had a good fortress, then decided to use reveal to see what is up wiht the map.
I found no veins or tubes. At all.
I regened dozens of worlds, and even pushed my computer to handle a 9x9 embark. But still no adamantine, not even with reveal.
Is something wrong? Did I disable something?

Just checking, don't want to sound rude or nothing, but it's my job to ask the stupid questions...reveal doesn't actually reveal the cotton candy spires, it leaves them blacked out. So if you've been looking with reveal, you may not see it. I'm sure you know this/figured it out, but someone's gotta say it.

I didn't know that. Derp. Is there any way to force reveal to show them?
-
You might be able to reveal them with the DFhack feature command.
If you are just looking to see how much there is on the map, you can use "reveal hell", and it should say.
-
"prospect all" should be able to detect it

Just a warning, however- if you use this method, prepare for mass fps-lag from the HFS being revealed.

Good point on the HFS reveal. Probably better to reveal the magma sea, which will likely reveal any tubes that go through it, so you can at least know where to start digging.

'reveal all' force pauses the game until u 'unreveal' as to not allow hell to be released
and 'prospect all' is very nice ^^

Just do it with the good ol' Fashioned method: Dig your way to the magma sea/ Magma Pool, and sacrifice someone to Armok.

Type "Reveal hell" into the console. A winner is you.
