Title: Poll: What OS and races do you play?
Post by: Urist McTeellox on December 09, 2013, 02:53:32 am
This poll is purely out of curiosity. Which platform and races does everyone use? If you'd like to use a platform or race but can't, then please comment why below.

If I go on a bug-squashing rampage, I may this this information to decide which bugs to squash first. :)

I'm on Windows and usually alternate between dorfs and cutebolds depending on what I feel like doing at any given time. :O

I use the current release with Linux. To toggle settings I use a shell script I created a while back

I only do Drow nowadays, if at all.

I don't at all. But if I did, it'd be Drow.

I've been starting my forts with dwarves, reclaiming with kobolds, then orcs, then dwarves again... It ends up being a huge hazardous mess, just the way I like it.

To explain my poll option (I'd like to play on Mac but...):  I have a MacBook Air in addition to my desktop (Windows 7), and the MB just cannot run anything game like.  I got a vanilla DF version to run on it, but it's terribad, generating way too much heat and sucking the battery so fast I can watch the percentage count down.

Not really a modding or DF issue, more of a hardware limitation.  It just means I can't DF when traveling, which would be great time to do so.
