Title: Warpstone related rot?
Post by: Icefire2314 on December 09, 2013, 08:06:50 pm
My miner and all her babiez started rotting recently. Despite my best efforts (dfhack fullheal) they continue to rot. I have excluded a sydrome because I've not been attacked by any FBS or such yet, and I used clean all with DFHack. Even after, they are constantly dizzy and rotting. Is this permanent?

Put it in the title, not in the post. They were mining unstable warpstone shortly before it happened, and it's only happened to the miners and their babies.

Where was the rot? If it's in the lungs, then they got into some coal or something and are suffering from that super-annoying syndrome.

If the problem is a chronic one, you might want to consider turning off "harder mining."

I nerfed the coaldust a lot, it shouldnt be such a trouble anymore... and warpstone doesnt cause rot, its either  fever/dizzyness or death. My guess would be Warlocks.

I doubt it, the warlocks in my new save killed people instantly (a small problem) via acid and spontaneous bleed out. They were rotting in all the major organ areas (spine, heart, lungs, brain, etc). I don't *think* it was coal related because I haven't mined any coal in this region that I know of.

Which tileset are you using? I know some of them differ in at least the placement of the warpstone sickness syndromes in the raw files, although I haven't checked to see if they also differ with regards to the syndrome itself.
