Title: Porting vanilla fort to Masterwork advice
Post by: VerdantSF on December 16, 2013, 06:43:21 pm
I really like what I've seen so far in Masterwork, but I have long-lived vanilla fort that I'd rather stick with.  I transferred the vanilla save to Masterwork, then chose a new tileset to reset the raws.  Most things work.  Some of the changed buildings, like Soapmaker, I'll break down.  However, I noticed that the building menu itself is still in the old vanilla format.  Any idea on how to change that without breaking my save?  I know with the worldgen, I'll still miss out on some big features, like the new races, but I'm hoping to access the magic system with my transferred game if possible.

Impossible. Masterwork is FAR, FAR too different for it's raws to work with a vanilla save. How large is your error log? It probably has half a million entries (exaggerating, but not much)
