Congrats!

Were CCS present?
Usually, the printing press gets raided at least once by someone (usually the CCS).

I doubt it would work in Nightmare mode (those firemen are quite aggressive).

Why did noone come to raid you? I thought hackers accumulated tons of heat.

Yeah I usually lose my hacker(s) to government raids. The site doesn't build up heat so there's really no way of telling when a government raid is gonna happen...And they never take prisoners...

Actually, I believe it is the publishing of the CIA files/Corporate Files that triggers raids by the CIA/Mercenaries.  By not publishing those two items, raids would be avoided.  Also, most raids are site-specific, so credit card fraud at the shelter then publishing at a different location would avoid the credit card heat raids.

Still, the CCS and Firemen usually bust your skulls in if they are in play.  Of course, in standard mode, the CCS only comes into play if the player takes violent site action (not sure if non-violent site action triggers the CCS).  So no site action means no CCS.  And Firemen only enter play if freedom of speech hits Arch-Conservative, which tends not to happen unless you start in Nightmare mode (for two reasons: 1) certain issues, such as freedom of speech, are programmed not to go too far too easily, so generally the country has to be pretty Arch-Conservative before they revoke the freedom of speech; 2) in normal mode, neither the president, congress, or the Supreme Court are Arch-Conservative, so they all fight to keep free speech from going that way, and with most strategies, the government gets more liberal not conservative)

So, I can now see how this strategy would work!  Congrats!

If the basics haven't changed since the last time I played (and pursued more or less this same strategy), your analysis is correct on all points. The CCS wouldn't become active until you burst onto the scene, which would be from any Conservative Alarm site action IIRC; I don't believe it needs to be violent so long as they go on alert.

I'm doing a violent one-woman run where I basically just go on a violent spree every day.  My main finding is that 28 stealth makes you an absolute god of combat, even alone.  Don't like the set of enemies?  Evade them.  I have never, ever failed to do so at 28 stealth. Keep walking around until you find a lone enemy/a group of bad enemies and shoot them in the face (I used a knife to start off with, but I realized the important part was having a guaranteed kill, not having a possible unalerted kill).

On this run the legislature replacing amendment passed on the 1st of September in the first year.  And every single member of congress became L+.  Seriously.

e: The weird font is caused by me switching the locale of my computer, I kindof like how the screen is bigger

e2: For some reason my heat seemed to break after I eliminated the CCS.  Before that my heat rose pretty consistently whenever I did bad things, but now it seems to just randomly oscillate between around 10 and 20%, even when I'm performing actions that should be seriously angering factions.
