Title: [REFERENCE] Creature Errors - Starvation, immortals, unbreedables, pet problems

5-9-14: I have updated this reference with more types of "errors".

For the purposes of this post, creature variations were culled from the list - only the base creatures are included.
Some of the below behaviours may be "as intended" - dragons being immortal, elementmen being unbreedable, etc

Nice work!  Seems to be a good foundation for a total creature overhaul mod, fixing breeding along with streamlining wildlife.

Indeed. Some other areas that could use some work:

wonky pet_values
missing c_variations
immortal creatures
underpowered (semi)megabeasts

Haven't gotten around to making lists of what's what though, yet. PET_VALUE would be a lot of work for a relatively minor goal, c_variations are easy but some people don't really like them in the first place, and many of the immortal creatures might be that way intentionally. I like having mortal creatures, though - I always make at least gobs and elves mortal so they'll have a shot at "extending" their life through unnatural means.

Elephants and other grazing creatures that are unbreedable because they all starve to death.

Giant insects that only live for 1 year.

Edit: I've been messing around with Python lately and figured I could learn file handing, string manipulation, and how it deals with regular expressions by generating some of the lists you mentioned.

Of note is that the giant and man variations strip PET, PET_EXOTIC, and PETVALUE. For whatever reason the only man variant to get pet tokens are the tigermen.

Extremely helpful lists. Thank you.

So... has anyone begun the task of fixing all the missing tags? I would hate to duplicate the efforts.  :-\
