Title: Roll to Claim the Power! The battle begins! (And ends)(7/6)
Post by: conein on July 20, 2015, 12:55:52 pm
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Many years ago, when mages were powerful and Razvoth, the most powerful of them, ruled the land of Sogroth, (those are not totally random names i swear) everything was peaceful: kids played together, people had fun at inns and you could even stop looking at your wallet for half a second without someone trying to steal it.

But these ages are gone. After years of peace, Urkvith, a power-hungry elf, started a magical war with his huge elven militia. Urkvith was defeated, but Sogroth's power was no longer the same. Many people and mages were dead, many structures ruined, and in that situation Sogroth was now food for goblins and other feral creatures.

And after this useless intro, that's where your adventure starts. You are a mage, one of the few ones, seeking the Labyrinth of Kaliah in search of the Gem of Power. It is said that this gems can give you ultimate power, giving you a +6 bonus to magical stuff!

This uses a d6

I think I am going to make a charsheet. How do you feel about people making up schools of magic?

Actually, you can make up any spell related to your magic school. If you want to suggest some magic school, do it.

Ok, the goblin seems pretty good, i will add it. That super low control will cause explosions, maybe i will give the goblins a trait to resist it

That was partially the intention with the dex mod, but yeah an additional trait might make my very short life ever so slightly longer.

I am done doing stuff so here are the schools I am suggesting:
Conjeration (not quite sure if I am spelling that right) also known as summonation or, in some cultures Aruetii is the art of summoning a creature or object from another plane of existence, and subjecting said creature to your will. According to mages who use this type of magic bending a creature you summon is just as hard, if not harder, then the summoning itself.

Objectional? (Still working on a name) magic is a form of magic where the user uses an item, usually a prized possession, to channel their magic through. The type of magic cast depends on the object's will itself rather then the casters, as the magic flowing through usually, though not always, grants the object sentience.

Sound good for types of magic?

Conjuration is fine, but objectional...i don't quite like it.

I'll see.
Would you guys like me to change destruction magic with elemental magic?
I will also change healing with divine magic, since it seems better.

maybe destruction and a seperate elemental tree.  That way you can have applications of say fire that's not nessicarily destructive like forging arms/armor.

Name: Avery Protagoniste.
Gender: Male
Appearance: Avery is 6 feet tall. He has two small brownish red horns sticking out from a shock of brown hair. He has fair skin and blue eyes. He wears a utility coat (Many pockets) which he keeps covered most of the time with a red cloak. He also has a tail, looking like a cow's tail if it weren't the same color as the horns. He wears a backpack with several books inside of it.
Bio: Avery was born to two nobles, which for some reason neither showed signs of tiefling blood in their veins. When Avery started to show signs of being a tiefling his parents attempted to hide his horns and tail, to little success. When a tiefling merchant and his wife came into town, the couple heard rumors about the boy they managed to convince the nobles that the child needed tiefling parents to understand what he was going through, they allowed them to become his legal guardians. He is now 20 and is setting out to find the crystal to become a great mage.
Magic school:Conjuration
Spells: Summon demonic creature (summons a random demonic creature.), summon Markus, lord of conmen (Summons Markus, lord of cons, imps, coffee, and magic), summon sentient telepathic demonic blade, and summon skeletal fire imp.
Race:Tiefling (+1 power, +1 to conjuration however you can only summon demonic creatures or items, resistance to fire, -1 control, -1 to any spells or saves against anything holy, inability to step foot on holy ground do to demonic blood, and extreme weakness to frost.)
Stats:

I edited it a bit, one question though, what specifically is OP about the tiefling?
Title: Re: Roll to Claim the Power! Now in need of people (3/6)
Post by: conein on July 22, 2015, 11:05:22 am
What I find strong is that the -1 to holy spell is not really a malus, but i guess I can accept a conjuration race. Watch out because I will change
something about it: It is not immune to fire but resistant, I removed the control malus, you can only summon demons. Just copy paste it from the first post

Also, if there are any volunteers, i may do a sample run just to see how it's going to be.

I could be up for a sample run. Also just to make it even out perhaps it should be extreme resistance to fire?
Title: Re: Roll to Claim the Power! Now in need of people (4/6)
Post by: conein on July 22, 2015, 11:36:08 am
Don't worry, you will have a decent bonus against fire. Now, let's try out mah skillz.

Sample turn one:

Avery Protagoniste
Avery Protagoniste, the tiefling, performs the ritual and finds himself in the labyrinth. On the right, he can see a (5) flat hallway made in metal, on his left (5) the same goddamn thing. Wow random.org, good start. Do your moves, Avery.

I think i will make monsters for all the different places and then i'll roll everytime to see what you get.
Title: Re: Roll to Claim the Power! Now in need of people (4/6)

Avery says "Well I am right handed. So I will go... Left" with that he walks, a bit slowly, to the left hall.
Title: Re: Roll to Claim the Power! Now in need of people (4/6)

Sample turn two:

Avery Protagoniste:

Avery says: "Well I am right handed. So I will go... Left" with that he walks, a bit slowly, to the left hall.
After looking around, Avery starts walking to the left. After a long, boring walk in the flat gray hallway, Avery sees a room not far away. From his position, he can see that waiting for him there is a (difficulty:2) mildly dangerous looking (2) lizardman. It looks pretty weird and ugly, his head is the one of a lizard, while the corpse is human.

"Hello lizardman, I am going to destroy you and steal your home to use as a home base." Avery summons Markus lord of coffee. "Gae roa yger kiere"
Title: Re: Roll to Claim the Power! Now in need of people (4/6)
Post by: conein on July 22, 2015, 02:44:53 pm
Sample turn three:

Avery Protagoniste

"Hello lizardman, I am going to destroy you and steal your home to use as a home base." Avery summons Markus lord of coffee. "Gae roa yger kiere"
Avery attempts to summon Markus, his powerful demon.
Power: (4+2+1-1=7)
Control: (2+1+1-1=3)
The spell is powerful and kinda controlled, and Markus, lord of coffee, is summoned from the oblivion. He will stay in this dimension for two turns.

The lizardman, scared by your summon, charges at (2) Markus!
(2+1)vs(5) Markus moves away, and now the lizardman is targetting Avery!!
(1+1) vs (1-1) One could think there is no way that lizarman could've hit, but Avery was so unaware, that it happened.
(Damage: 6!!!+1 lizard's strenght +1 Avery low strenght) It isn't Avery's lucky day. The lizardman's head goes through his stomach. Damnit.

(3 turns before bleedout, -1 to everything, lizardman stuck in your stomach)

Markus, seeing Avery's situation (2) does absolutely nothing. Good boy.

Spoiler: Markus, lord of coffee (click to show/hide)

So, tell me what you think about it. If I did something wrong i mean, i know you didn't want to get a lizardman in your stomach.

Sounds fun.
Spoiler: char sheet (click to show/hide)
Wow, this will be some good fun. Also, now we only need one player!

Sample turn 4:

Avery Protagoniste:
I will roll for who goes first from now on.
Lizard: (1)
Avery: (6)
Markus: (9)

Avery will shout "Do something Markus! By something I mean kill the lizardman with your coffee!" if this happens start one of my torches or similar item on fire.
Avery tells his demon to do something about all of this, and (4+1-2=3) Markus doesn't really know what to do...(Luck:9) but then he understands.

Markus attempts to use his coffee magic!
Power: (5+2=7!)
Control: (5-1=4)
And he summons a coffe!... No, just kidding. Very, very hot coffee comes out of Markus's hands and goes towards the stuck lizardman!
(5vs5-3 stuck in stomach) it hits. Avery is (5-1=4) unaffected.
(Damage: 4+2 very hot-1) the coffee spreads all over the lizardman, and he (Resist roll: 2) gets melted. He is now unconscious.

(2 turns until bleedout, lizardman stuck in stomach, -1 to everything)
And then Azer remembers he wanted to pull a torch out of his backpocket and light it up (Luck roll: 1) but that won't happen. You may want to pull a lizardman out of your stomach, or search the room for something that can help you. Or die. You can also try basic healing magic.

The pain is stinging (3) and Avery can't focus enough to keep Markus in this realm. Too bad.

Wait how was I seeing before? Avery will pull the lizardman out of his stomach and use whatever was lighting up the room to light my torch and use the now lit torch to cauterize the wound.

Wait how was I seeing before? Avery will pull the lizardman out of his stomach and use whatever was lighting up the room to light my torch and use the now lit torch to cauterize the wound.
Avery wonders how is it possible that he can see in this place without a torch. He then wonders why he didn't bring a torch in the first place. He supposes he can see thanks to a magical light in this labyrinth. Then he remembers about the lizardman in his stomach.

Will update tomorrow.

Oh yes, phone ran out batteries so I forgot here is my action:
Avery will summon his demonic sentient telepathic sword. If this succeeds he will attempt to enrage the blade, causing it to become hot enough to be able to cauterize my wound. I will then cauterize my wound using the blade.

Sample turn five:

Avery Protagoniste:

Avery will summon his demonic sentient telepathic sword. If this succeeds he will attempt to enrage the blade, causing it to become hot enough to be able to cauterize my wound. I will then cauterize my wound using the blade.
Avery thinks that since he's been so unlucky, now there is no way he will still be so unlucky.
He proceeds to summon his demonic sentient telepathic sword:

Power: (1+2+1-1=3)
Control: (6! +1+1-1=7)
I had to redo the turn because i forgot your +1 to conjuration.

The spell is barely successful, and the sword is summoned. It is a short sword, with no special properties, except being telephatic and demonic.
Happy for his success, Avery tries to make the blade enraged and become red. Another luck roll incoming.
(Luck: 9) Avery manages to throw all of his bad thoughts at the sword, and since its telephatic and demonic and stuff, its edge becomes hot. Avery grabs the sword and (First aid roll: 1...ok.) stabs himself multiple times with the sword. This is how you cauterize, right? No? Then

Avery Protagoniste, the tiefling, died to a lizardman and to his own lack of skill in first aid.

This was posted at 3AM my time and didn't see it. I'll start writing up a sheet.

Fantastic.

Title: Re: Roll to Claim the Power! Join now for free cookies! (5/6)

The "+1 damage vs unholy both ways" meant it does extra damage to unholy but also takes extra damage from it. How about this for a malus: wears an amulet that, if taken off, slowly weakens the angel and if destroyed, instantly kills the angel.

If you can't figure out a rebalenced angel you could make an aasimar. (Like a tiefling but for gods instead of daemons and they don't have horns or tails. Or little stubby wings that you tell no one about and serve no purpose.)

And now we have 7 people. Shadow, i will put you in the waitlist i guess, but now the fairy no longer has -3 strenght but only -2.
Yep, i still don't know how you guys are supposed to find the crystal. And i have to work on all the monsters, there are 6 different kinds of places in the labyrinth and i need 3 monsters for each difficulty (easy normal and hard) of each place.
The places are: "normal" the flat metal hallway (already done), volcanic, "meaty" or unholy where the undead and unholy stuff should be, then "holy" there will be enemies here too, "natural" stuff like bears, and "frost" where cold stuff is. I'd really appriciate help.

Of course you can Hiddenleafguy.
Hey shadow, there is nothing wrong with your spells, but there is no sunlight in the labyrinth, so you might want to change.

Turn one: possible love story?

After performing the ritual, everyone enters the labyrinth, be it for power or for peace.

Vargos Firebeetle:

Vargos finds himself on the ground. He looks around and sees (4) possible ways to go, and he's in the middle of the crossway. In front of him (1) is an hallway made of volcanic stone, with some lava dripping from the roof. Behind him is (4) a white hallway that looks like it's made out of clouds. On his right (5) a flat gray hallway that seems to be made of metal and on his left (2) an hallway that seems to be made of ice, with some ice spikes coming out of the roof. It seems he has plenty of ways to go, and he is ready to blow shit up.

Julia Carter:

Julia is teleported in the labyrinth. Looking around, she sees (1) an hallway in front of her. It looks like (3) the hallway is made of... meat? An horrible stink comes out of it. Then she looks behind her and sees and elf. She wonders where the stink is coming from.

Hrdoghrandamaerloness Val Khaless

The elf with a long name is in da labyrinth. He looks in front of him, only to see an human girl and a weird hallway made of meat. Wow.

Avery Protagoniste.
Avery finds himself in the labyrinth. He looks around, and sees two gray flat hallways on the right and on the left. He'd swear that already happened.

Krug:
Krug enters the labyrinth ready to fuck everything up. He gives a look around and sees (4) possible ways to go, and he is in the middle of the crossroad. (I kinda suck at writing so things may look the same) In front of him (5) a flat gray hallway, on the left (6) an hallway that seems to be the path of a wood. All around it there are a lot of trees, the ground is full of grass, and the roof is not there.

Aralim
Aralim enters the dungeon from the heavens. He looks around and he sees (3) more descriptions to make. In front of him (1) is an hallway made of volcanic stones, dripping lava from the roof, pretty hot. On the left (4) an hallway that seems to be made of clouds. He can sense an holy aura coming out of it. On the right (3) a not so holy meaty hallway, pretty unholy and pretty smelly.

Make your moves, meatbags.

For the unholy dungeon we have Hell hounds which are intelligent (relatively so) fire immune wolves, unread, a lich, a nalfeshnee demon (they are well. I'll just tell you the flavor text. A towering, corpulent beast, this fiend has the hideous head of a boar and arms ending in fatty, four-fingered hands.), and of course no dungeon would be complete without a Balor Demon as a boss (This winged fiend's horned head and fanged visage present the perfection of the demonic form, spurting from its flesh.).

Question, are we all in the same labyrinth but in different part?
Avery will pull out a coin and says "heads I go right, tails I go left" he then toss it into the air. It lands on [2] Heads. He then attempts to light a torch out of some strange sense of deja-vu.
He then heads, rather quickly to the right.

Yes. You will meet each other. Getting the shard of gems of powah will be an hard quest alone, so I suggest not killing each other.

Anyways, I only need two more actions for an update.

Aaand, all the volcano monsters are done.
All the frosty monsters are done.
All the unholy monsters are done.
It's pretty hard to make holy monsters. Halp.
And the natural guys are done too.

You two guys can roleplay as much as you want. Of course, the fact that Sinvara is from australia or something might make it harder.

No, no, i will make at most one update every day, unless everyone posts actions fast, which i doubt. Anyways, there's an update coming right up.

Turn two: some labyrinth exploration

Avery Protagoniste:

Question, are we all in the same labyrinth but in different part?
Avery will pull out a coin and says "heads I go right, tails I go left" he then toss it into the air. It lands on [2] Heads. He then attempts to light a torch out of some strange sense of deja-vu.
He then heads, rather quickly to the right.

Avery pulls out a coin and tosses it into the air. I make the rolls here. (head) Well. Avery goes to the right, and you guys have nothing in your inventory so you can't pull stuff out of nowhere.
After some walking and walking and walking in the boring hallway, Avery finds himself five feet away from the entrance of a room. He can see (i won't show the rolls for this stuff) a giant rat. It is the less dangerous thing in the whole place probably. He looks closer, and notices (luck: 1! ahah!) that there are actually three giant rats.

Vargos Firebeetle

Vargos thinks to himself "Oi, lava place sounds like 'ome.... but mosta the people back home are strong gainst 'plosions.... Ice is melty... letsa go dat way.
Vargos enters the ice tunnel carefully, ready to flame the first moving, living, or possibly even slightly threatening non-moving thing he sees.

Vargos, after some very clever thinking, proceeds on the ice-y slippery tunnels. (luck:7) He gently surfs on ice, i guess.

After some more gentle surfing, Vargos falls, and he notices there is a room in front of him. A room, and a snowman. Seems pretty normal.

Krug:

Krug smash tree, make club. Then Krug walk though wood looking for things to kill.

Krug notices he needs a weapon, so he gets the idea of smashing a tree.
Strenght: (1+7-5 magical tree= 3)
Despite his strenght, Krug barely manages to get a pointy stick. Kinda useless.
After this bad experience, Krug proceeds on the grassy path. He proceeds a bit more, and he is now in a room. Before he can look around, a gnome "greets" him: "You fool!!! What the hell are you doing smashing the grass with your big feet! Prepare to die!"

Aralim

Aralim casts Bless and Divine Armour on himself before walking into the unholy place.
Aralim proceeds on casting two spells in a turn, getting a -2 malus.

Bless:
Power: (6+1+1= 8 )
Control: (5+1+1=7)
His powerful luck divine powers grants him an equally powerful blessing. (five turns, +2 damage against unholy, unholy who attack you may get hurt)

Divine armour:
Power: (4+1+1-2=4)
Control: (5+1+1-2=5)
His armor was good, but not as powerful as his blessing. It would have been better if he didn't have so much haste. (3 turns armor, +1 protection, unholy who attack may get hurt)

And after all these successful spells he proceeds on walking in the meaty hallway, ready to kick some unholy ass.

He reaches a gross room full of weird stuff all over the walls, and an eyeball falls from the roof. Ew. Other than that, there doesn't seem to be any menace, so Aralim enters the room and an abomination comes out of the ground blocking him. (-2 init next turn)

Julia Cartier and Hrdoghrandamaerloness Val Khaless: extreme wonkyness

Julia happily smiles and waves at the Elf. "Hey, hi, I'm Julia, how're you doing?"
"Hey, uh, I'm... what was it... Yuletide and you are Christmas. We'll come together, happen at the same time."
Drop shitty pickup lines.
((It shouldn't have too much of an effect on my playing ability unless there's tons of updates per day.))

"Uhhh, did you hit your head or something? I can heal you if you want."

Give the fleshy-looking hallway a poke.

Julia greets the elf and tells him her name, but Hrdoghrandamaerloness doesn't care about presentations and tries to seduce Julia:

"Ay gurl"

She is not amused.

Julia tries to forget what just happened and pokes the meaty hallway. (luck: 1... i just knew it.)  This causes the meaty wall to extend, and a...meat thing is created. "Good luck" with that.

Having never really seen a snowman before, Vargos assumes it is some sort of vile construct created by the gods of ice.  To be extra safe he decides to smite it with fiery fury just in case.
Vargos casts shatterburst on the Mansnow, attempting to explode it into thousands of little pieces.

"Abominations are enormous piles of roughly connected humanoid body parts, animated by both necromantic and demonic forces"
I got that from Dungeon crawl Stone soup.

Hey kilakan, can you tell me what exactly the shatter burst does? I don't really get what concussive explosion is.

Instead of it being a frag grenade, or fire/heat style grenade it's more like a demolition charge.  Strong blast that blows things apart with just force more than anything.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hand_grenade#Concussion (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hand_grenade#Concussion) specifically that type of explosion.

Since tiger didn't connect for 2 days and he hasn't much choice since he has to fight a thing  in front of him, i'll just update now.

Turn three: battle starts now

Vargos firebeetle:

Having never really seen a snowman before, Vargos assumes it is some sort of vile construct created by the gods of ice.  To be extra safe he decides to smite it with fiery fury just in case.
Vargos casts shatterburst on the Mansnow, attempting to explode it into thousands of little pieces.

*Side addendum vargos found surfing on the icey death fun and makes a mental note to try that later with fire.

Speed:
Vargos: 4
Snowman: 8

The totally innocent snowman moves!!! Would you look at that, it was actually an haunted snowman, how unexpected!
And it proceeds to cast his snowblast:

Power: (5+2= 7) ouch
Control: (4+1=5)

A powerful blizzard comes out of the snowman's hands, and it is directed to Vargos:
Dodge: (4+2-2 (blizzard)=4) but everyone knows goblins are hard to hit. Vargos runs away from the blizzard thanks to his goblin-ness.

Seeing that the snowman's eyes are burning with rage, Vargos tries to explode it forever:

Power: (3+3=6)
Control: (4-2=2)
A powerful blast is generated by Vargos' magic, and both him and the snowman are unavoidably involved in the explosion!

Vargos resistance: (1!-1+2 goblin= 2) Snowman: (6!-2 snowman-1= 4) Why are you guys so unlucky?

Vargos is blasted away by his own explosion, and (damage: 4+1 powerful, no bonuses for this) not only the explosion caused him multiple wounds, but he also passes out.

The snowman, on the other hand, is just knocked away a little. And now he is ready to fuck Vargos up.

Julia cartier and Hrdoghrandamaerloness Val Khaless:

Look at the "Meat thing" If it moves, cast Holy Light on it.
Speed:
Living lump of flesh: 9-2 (slow)= 7
Julia Cartier: 4
Hrdoghrandamaerloness: 10

Hrdoghrandamaerloness is the first to act. If only his pickup lines were better, that girl wouldn't have focused on the meat wall!
He tries to fix what he caused to happen, but he realizes his spells can't do anything about a lump of flesh, so he nopes away with invisibilty:

Power: (5+3=8)
Control: (6+2=8)
An exceptionally powerful magic cloak covers the elf, making him invisible for five turns! (attacking will remove two turns)
Luck: (7) the spell was so powerful that the cloak covers Julia too, for three turns!

Then the lump of flesh tries to attack something, even if he can't really see anyone with his unholy vision:

(1-1-2 invisible) the thing was so much confused, that while trying to move himself he lost a good part of his mass.  (now a small lump of flesh)

Julia proceeds to finish this unholy abomination with his holy light!

Power: (3+1=4)
Control: (5)
The spell is powerful enough to delete the small unholy thing from existance, without even rolling. That wasn't too bad.

Avery protagoniste:

Avery jumps to the side, saying. "At least it isn't damn lizardmen. Huh where did I get that from?" He then summons markus, lord of randomly selected titles!

Speed:
Rat 1: 10
Rat 2: 9
Rat 3: 9
Avery: 6

These rats sure are fast. The leader rat attacks Avery first (2) but misses because rats suck.
The other two rats attack together! (2, 5) The first one imitates his boss, while the other one bites Avery's leg! (Resistance: 6-1=5) But this giant rat's bite is weaker than a normal rat's.

Then Avery understands he needs some manpower, and he summons Markus, lord of (3) coffee.
Power: (3+2+1= 6)
Control: (4+1+1=6)
Markus is summoned from oblivion, and will stay in this dimension for 5 turns! (Luck: 7) And he gets the idea of punching a rat, how clever.
(6) He punches a rat in the face and (2+2=4) the rat is wounded.

Spoiler: Markus, lord of coffe (click to show/hide)
Rat 1: fine
Rat 2: fine
Rat 2: wounded

Krug:

Kick annoying gnome into the stratosphere. Then stomp all over grass some more.

Speed:
Gnome: 3
Krug: 6

Krug is annoyed by this baby. What does he want, a kick? Then he will get a kick! (6-1) The gnome is kicked in the stomach! (1+4) It flies away and (Resistance: 4-2 powerful=2) he is blasted into stratosphere. At least in Krug's perspective.

Now that Krug is winner, he stomps all over the grass to show the gnome who rules! Ahah!

When he's done fucking around, Krug looks around the room. It is like his home, full of trees and grass, and there is even a small waterfall!
Exploration: (7) Krug is not tricked by this stupid place, and he sees something behind the waterfall. He walks there, and finds an (3: armor piece) helmet.

Aralim:

Purge the abomination.
(2 turns divine armor, 4 turns blessing) Just kidding, no more armor.

Speed:
Abomination: 3
Aralim: 2-2=0

The multiple body parts attached to each other appearing in from of him scared the crap out of Aralim, giving the Abomination two attacks!

(3) First it tries to swing at Aralim with its body parts, but fails. Then, it ejects acid from its body! (5) The acid goes all over aralim (resistance: 6+1-2 angel-2 acid=3) Luck: (2) his armor is destroyed. And he is damaged. (1+1 acid) No, just his clothes.

Aralim then purges his unholy enemy:

Power: (2+1+1=4)
Control: (3+1+1=5)
(2) but he fails to place his hand on that thing because he keeps getting pushed away.

I will now update since saber is still ded, and i won't be able to update from tomorrow on (maybe). Anyways, would you guys like me to put the rolls in a spoiler, or you like seeing them?

Turn four: more fighting action

Aralim:

Fly high up into the air, then dive really quickly and Purge the abomination.
Speed:
Abomination: 6
Andres: 9
(3 turns blessed)

Andres understands that he has to go the hard way, and he tries some badass flying action: (Dex: 2) but he fails. He uses his wings to go up into the air, and then he goes down again, only to realize he hasn't achieved anything.

After this stupid fail, he tries once again to purge that junk:

Power: (3+1+1=5)
Control: (3+1+1=5)
Aralim's hand glows with divine power, and (4) he places it in the abomination's head! One of the heads! (damage: 2+1 well made spell +2 unholy+ 2 blessed=7) The abomination writhes in pain! (Resistance: 5-2 holy-2 powerful=1) It releases a powerful scream and then it sort of falls apart... and it becomes a non-living pile of junk.

Now that Aralim doesn't have any bad people in front of him, he inspects the room: there is (1) an other hallway. It (3) is still made of meat. The room is the same, just stink and flesh and stuff. Was that really a waste of time?... suddently, a weird sound comes from somewhere, something emerges from the fleshy ground: a mask. It is, for sure, an unique one. Aralim can feel the mask's power, but when he tries to look at it, his eyes just seem to move away. (luck: 3) Aralim understands that wearing it will have an effect. Thanks, Sherlock.

Avery Protagoniste:

Avery will shout "Markus, coffee them!" he shall then summon his sentient blade, which is named Al.
Speed:
Rat 1: (1)
Rat 2: (2)
Rat 3: (3) i am not joking nor faking the rolls. Random.org feels funny today.
Avery: (7)

While the rats seem to be starting a dance or something, Avery proceeds to give orders and summon stuff. First, he tells Markus to use his dumb magic (Control: 6+1-2 demon= 5)  and Markus totally gets it:
Power: (4+2=6)
Control: (5-1=4)
Very hot coffe comes out of Markus' hands, directed towards (3) the already wounded giant rat. (2) The coffee wave goes past the lucky rat (luck:1) AND ACTUALLY HITS AVERY SOMEHOW BECAUSE OF HIS LUCK ROLLS: Resistance: (3-1+2 fire resistant=4) luckily the GM remembers that the coffee is supposed to do damage because it's hot, and Avery resists the fire thanks to his trait.

But still, stoopid Markus! Avery needs a more clever minion:
Power: (3+2+1=6)
Control: (3+1+1=5)

And his sentient telephatic demonic sword (STDS) is summoned. for three turns. (sword: +2 dexterity and damage)

The giant rats are ready for their super dancing attack plan: the first rat does some sick dance moves and (6) then jumps up to Avery's face and slaps it: (Resistance: 6-1 well made slap= 5) Avery is confused but fine. Right after the first one, another rat makes a sick somersault reaching Avery's face and (6) slaps it once again! (Resistance: 2-1 well made slap= 1) Avery is slapped!!! This caused him to lose a tooth, spit blood, and feel bad for his actions!!! (-1 to resistance rolls, wounded)
But it is not over, the last rat spins around and (5) jumps at the same time, making another sick slap! (Resistance: 4-1 slapped face) (Luck: 7) Avery is slapped in his poor face again, but he shrugs it off.

Krug:

Krug wears the helmet. (3, this is a good roll) He feels...weird. More calm, but not the kind of "i don't want to kill people" calm... he is... focused! (+3 dexterity while wearing helmet, but no armor bonus)
Krug then remembers "he" forgot to look for other hallways: (1,3) there is only another hallway, and it is made of stupid weak dead people meat. ((I guess you'd just go there so i'll do that for you.))

Krug proceeds to go there looking for these stupid weak dead people I was talk talking about, and after some walking with his feet sinking in the meat, he finds a wall. What is this supposed to mean? Krug shouts at the stupid wall, and it goes down, revealing a room with the same appearance of the hallway. There seems to be no weaklings around.

Vargos Firebeetle:

Erm, attempt to regain consciousness and then fireball if I am not snowman chow before then.
Speed:
Haunted snowman: 6
Vargos: 1 Everytime you guys roll so badly i feel bad.

The snowman prepares to destroy Vargos with his ice spike:
Power: (5+2=7)
Control: (2+1=3)
An huge ice spike appears out of thin air, but the snowman can't control it and (Vargos luck: 1) (Snowman luck: 4)the ice spike moves so that it targets Vargos, but it is behind the Snowman. (Snowman resistance: 2-2snowman -2 powerful ice spike=-2)The ice spike suddently start moving at high speed penetrating the snowman and exploding the crap out of him, and (Vargos' extra luck roll because the snowman died: 8 ) luckily, the ice bolt stops receiving magical energy from the snowman and falls on the ground, landing two feet away from Vargos.

Since the battle is over and wasting turns would be dumb, Vargos wakes up. He sees a pile of snow, an huge ice spike two feet away from him, and... a wand! There is a wand in the pile of snow! There is also (1,1) an hallway of the same kind of the volcanic one you saw before. You don't feel lucky anymore.

Julia Cartier and Hrdoghrandamaerloness Val Khaless:

Julia and the sleepy elf proceed in the hallway, only to find a wall made of arms, legs, eyes, heads, ears... Julia is not tricked and can feel the necromantic power coming out of the "wall": it is actually an abomination!

Wow, that took me 3 hours to make this update. Probably because i kept leaving the computer. Well, anyways, it's here now.

"Okay, slap me once because I destroyed your civilization in a drunken rampage, shame on me, slap me twice because I destroyed your civilization on drunken rampage, still shame on me, BUT THREE TIMES!!! You gonna get murdered on a boat son." Al says (telepathiclly and only to Avery.) "We don't have a boat" to which Avery says "Shut up Al, it was a metaphorical boat" and with that he summons a demon and runs forward, engaging one of them in combat while yelling "Marcus coffee them!!".

Post by: conein on July 27, 2015, 04:47:13 pm
Good news, my technical problems probably won't last much.

Mini update: don't touch that thing, son

Grab the mask and wear it. Cast Divine Armour.
Aralim sees the mask, and wonders what kind of fantastic benevolent effect it could have. There is only one way to know: wear it! And that's what Aralim does.

Everything goes black. Aralim feels like he has lost control over himself, like if he was only his soul without any body. This changes fast as Aralim is projected into something else's body.

He can see he's not in the dungeon anymore, but he is in a very dark place. He is standing still, and it looks like there is absolutely nothing. Then his head turns around, and he can see he's chained to a wall. Suddently, the chains are broken, and Aralim, or whoever this person is, falls on the ground. Aralim realizes he cannot hear nor feel anything, just see.

A message is projected in his eyes: "Trespassers, Hteruj"

There is a flash of light, and Hteruj is teleported into the dungeon. He looks around and sees the vulcanic hallway, the holy hallway and the unholy one. He knows where to go.

You may take off the mask, or you may keep it on, as you want. Anyways, from now on i will use second person and not third person because it's easier
