Title: Space Adventures and Sci-Fi Aliens(in spaceships)

Alright so, fairly simple rules..when in combat it's hardcore, armor adds defence. You have a natural unarmored HP of 10/10. I use a 0-10 random die generator, so when you exchange fire with the enemy that's what you'll be getting. Don't worry, you can pick other crewmembers later in the game. Anywayyyy
The Year 2035 AD
-A large spaceship has been commisioned to colonize mars. You and five other crewmates will be managing the ship, with specific skills alloted. The mission once you get on the ground is another story, but you are about to depart the upgraded International Space Station(ISS) and have this equipment available:500 credits to spend, 10 stats points to spend

Start signign up people! I promise there will be much adventure. I just have to find an app to draw stuff with, like ascii art. Any recommendations?

Maybe provide a character sheet? Otherwise In as the Engineer.

Scientific Data Collecting Equipment.

Wait, the 500 spacebucks are for each person or the whole crew? If so, i guess i'll get a pistol or a first aid kit or something.

Also 0G Pistol makes no sense.

All weapons can fire in 0G. The issue is they'll go through the hull.

I can't see a good reason for the captain to have a pistol. That would be something for Security. Same goes for the toolkit and EVA suit. Engineer and Botanist respectively.

Also I think you mean Navigation, not Piloting.

And GM, you have Toolkit in the list twice.

The reason for the pistol is in case their is a mutiny. The EVA suit is because, well every astronaut needs a EVA suit. And the toolkit. Well I just wanted a bit of variety.

Why would there be a mutiny when you're the only one who can fly the ship. Ask yourself that.

You do realize how ridiculous what you're saying is. Right?

And besides. A discharged shot would puncture the hull. It's stupid to use guns in space.

I suppose it'd have to be 500 each otherwise we wouldn't even be able to get a full set of equipment for the ship.

One of the reasons for the pistol is that it can be used as an emergency propulsion device.

Okay so as long as I am keeping this game running I am going to use this post to track which player is which. The roles not filled will be npcs until someone comes around and decides they want to play, so I am going to write out the first IC post in a minute, just let me browse the thread to see who is who so I can put them in this post.

You are allowed to hijack. My plan was to have it evolve from a first simple mars colony>fast forward time to revolutionary terraforming mars>Fast forward to first interstellar expanses>fast forward to human federation being attacked by aliens empires and having allies, etc.

With the exception of the captain, who is piloting the ship away from the ISS, the entire crew is gathered in the main room of the ship, watching the ship embark on one of the two high-def screens in the main rooms, the main reason for the amount of entertainment items is to keep you all sane... And because of the press the entertainment giants fony and sicropoft get from giving video games to astronauts, there are also two bookcases which look to be wielded to the floor, with the exact amount of surprisingly comfortable chairs needed for everyone to have one, also wielded to the floor. As you watch the ship decouples with the ISS and a voice says "This is your captain speaking, feel free to explore the ship and talk to your fellow scientists.".

(I guess I'll play as a duel engineer/botanist with a bit of science skill for versatility.  No weapon though, since everyone else seems to have 1.  I bought extra medpacs that I can give to whichever Medical professional needs them.  If the toolkit is actually 150 creds, then Ill just take 1 Medpac.)
