They got about halfway to my fort and were apparently ambushed by kobold and goblin thieves. I didn't get a message, I just noticed all my dwarves streaming out thattaway and went to look. Gobbo and kobold chunks everywhere, and the humans bypassed me entirely, heading right off the map.
And they dropped everything they were carrying... which my greedy dwarves promptly scavenged.
Is this supposed to happen? Am I going to have to deal with a stuffy human insurance investigator wanting to know about stolen goods? What's the deal, man? :)
Eat their siege alive with traps and wait for their surrender.

If a human Diplomat has seen your traps, then the humans won't trigger them.

That's why you build the broker's office in an aboveground building.
