Hmm, actually I think I had some friends who dressed like that back in the late Eighties ... leather jacket with rows of (more impractical than menacing) studs, too many leather arm rings, and typically a t-shirt with an image on it such as "band member surrounded by band members".

Somehow I think one of your dwarves was trying to make a "cocktail dress" and got a bit confused. You might want to have "DRY CLEAN ONLY" engraved onto it, as I don't think it would be a good idea to take this through the dwarf wash-o-matic.
