Looks like cuneiform. An ancient language used in Mesopotamia. But different. Huh. It has something of the right look for it... ~~~ You might want to change the title of this thread- currently it seems like you're asking Bay 12 to help you choose a gift.

I asked her, her story is : I had seen it in antiquarian store and thought - why not? And she does not, know who is it. Thanks for finding out, that it is Gudea.

Wikipedia claims that only 27 of them have been found (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Statues_of_Gudea). I wonder if it's a knockoff, or if she just happened to find something really rare without knowing it.
(I didn't bother to check the cited sources or look at other sites)

The cracks/chips in it suggest replica to me, it's not the same material underneath. The original statues seem to be carved, according to wikipedia.
It's still pretty cool.
