This forum game will be ripping assets and mechanics from two(technically 3) games and mashing them together. Pandemic and Pandemic: The Cure is a pair of board games that focus on a group of players with unique starting roles like scientist or quarantine expert, who strategize together to stop the spread of a number of deadly diseases. Plague Inc. is a video game where a single player chooses a disease form like virus or parasite, and tries to kill off humanity by adapting to be more infectious, deadly, balanced with hiding from detection or outpacing the cure. You can see why these two games needed to come together.

In this game multiple 'plagues' will be spreading. They are acting alone, and to some extent are in competition or in some regards a very light alliance on some issues, but they will be ranked against each other and their results. Can one of them go all the way? Not if the 'The Cure' team can help it. Players on this team will monitor symptoms worldwide and look for patterns, use their special and unique abilities and decide on their moves for the(in game) month(daily or a few days real time). There is actually a third group, someone allied to 'The Cure' team, and that's you! You will be voting on important funding issues that impact how fast 'The Plague'(s) can spread and when drastic actions are necessary. You wont be alone however, humanity is in this together.

-Objective-
Take samples in regions you feel a disease is hiding. Choose what symptom to target. If you find 5 samples of a disease, you can begin analyzing it to create a cure. Now when treating all disease tokens of that type the disease will be eradicated. Eradicate all diseases to win.
If a disease gets 16 tokens on the world map, or if global panic increases all the way, humanity loses.
-Turns-
Plane: Travel from and to any region with an open airport.
Ship: Travel from and to any adjacent region with an open seaport. 1 to 2 to 3 to 4 to 5 to 6 back to 1 in either direction.
Treat: Remove a plague token OR choose a symptom present in your region, the more of it caused by a plague the greater your chance of revealing a hidden plague token. (revealed after all Doctors' turn)
Sample: Choose a symptom present in your region, the more of it caused by a plague the greater your chance of taking a sample.
Give: Give a player in your region any number of your samples. There is a small(<5%) of an exposure to the region.
Analyze: Further research on the cure of a plague you have 5 samples of. There is a small(<5%) of an exposure to the region.

Upon signing up and entering the game, you will be assigned a role at random from one of these that another player hasn't received yet.

A) Medic: Use treat as a free 3rd action at any point during your turn.

E) Quarantine Expert: A disease will not enter, leave, or spread in the region you are in.

F) Engineer: Use both turns to build a lab in a region, sample and analyze always work in that region if possible. Labs are destroyed in a region with an outbreak and no Doctor.

G) Pilot: Move only if you didn't last turn. Can go to any region despite closures and bring one doctor.

H) Bio-Terrorist: A special role only available for large games. Player also plays as or is allied to a disease. Abilities vary, available only upon request. Enemy to all doctors.

-Objective-
You can produce tokens in a region if you are infective enough. Once there are 3 tokens, a 4th token will instead go to the next region*. 1 to 2 to 3 to 4 to 5 to 6 back to 1 in that order only, unless you have sufficient specializations for both of the reverse region's traits. If you spawn 16 tokens, or if you have the most tokens when panic climaxes you win.

Concealment: How many invisible tokens you can have on the map, and how hard it is to take a sample.
Infectivity: How rapidly you spread when the opportunity arises, vs other plagues.
Deadliness: How hard you are to treat.
Complexity: How hard it is to analyze a sample.
Mutation: Chance of a free random adaptation.

Pros: "Resilient Shell" Low and high humidity tolerance easy to increase.
Cons: "Common Plague" Easier to analyze. (x1.5)
Hibernate: One symptom of your choice is half as visible each turn.

Pros: "Rapid Mutation" higher chance of free random mutation.
Cons: "Forward Momentum" Can't change adaptations.
Mutate: After selecting an adaptation, you may activate this ability. One of your adaptations is randomly removed. Next turn you may pick two adaptations.

C) Parasite
Pros: "One with host" Easier to upgrade concealment. (x1.5)
Con: "Parasitic lifestyle" No random mutations.
Breech: You may destroy 1 sample, once per turn, and once per doctor. You may destroy a lab in a region with 2 of your tokens.

D) Fungus
Pros: Easy to control adaptations. Potentially reverse initial weaknesses.
Cons: Harder to travel between continents and slower to spread without highly developed spore pods.
Spore Burst: Destroy 2 tokens in a region to spread to an adjacent region.

F) Mystery
You are a much more rare or abstract pathogen, and trade better concealment for a major weakness. (you will be randomly given a special form not on this list)

Pro: -20 panic. (Airports in region and 2 other regions must be open. 4 turn cooldown. Cant be used if panic gets to 50.)

Con: One time use in one region. Game ends in a loss if no victory condition met first.
Panic generated from any of these decisions will never end the game. (stops at 50)

You may post "AUTHORIZE" followed by one or more of the below options. You can support someone else by quoting them. These SINGLE USE legislations can only be picked once per the whole game session, and ONLY 3 can be used total. Once authorized, they stay available to the doctors until spent.
Mobile Hospital: Doctors use treat each time they move.
Emergency Conference: Doctors all move to one's location.
Forecast: All symptoms caused by plagues revealed.
Airlift: Doctors gain one time ability to move any one doctor to any region with permission.
Government Grant: Doctors choose where to build a lab in any one region.
Random events can affect the game temporarily or even permanently.

2. Disaster. Disease spreads more rapidly in affected region for awhile. Poll option for relief funding added.
3. Research. Breakthrough betters mankind. Poll options exist to manually support these.
Rare or One Time
4. Mass Migration. Opportunistic diseases will use the event to spread great distances.
5. Event/Celebration. A major event opportunistic diseases will use to spread.
6. Good fortune. An unlikely positive event that helps humanity and the doctors.

1. A Plague player will choose an adaptation, can also change one, and may activate their ability (PM to host)
All plagues will take their turn.
