Title: Poet writing poems

The DF2014:Poet wiki article says: "...To write poetry, press x, then select compose...".

Where to press 'x'? Any preconditions?
I'm really unable to find the correct procedure/menu to get to write poems.
The wiki is really very brief about this topic.

Any hint, please?

In normal play, where you can walk around and so on. It's the same menu where you choose to butcher something.
