Cast Golem. Properly, this time.
I must say, I like the new key for the magic rolls.
Admire my new golem and cast sow again. Not directly underneath my feet this time!

This is just getting depressing. Let's have some Rain to fit the mood.
Gently cast sink around the golems.
Hurrah! A successful casting! To celebrate, cast sink on the centre of donut isle. That would be very helpfull indeed. How nice of you. Also, screw you, it is my landmark!
Keep casting sow. I will keep doing this until I can cast the upper level green spells.

This will do no good! Not one bit. In retaliation for the ground's passive resistance, the large mage of black reachs downward and LIFTS once more!

My second action will be to attempt to cast lift on the water of the geyser. ((not the land, I want to make the geyser shoot higher))

-snip-
Lift won't be able to work that way. You would need to either expand the underground water cavity to store more water(which the sink spell is not flexible enough for, as minor spells are fairly basic), or you need to make the water hotter somehow. The epic blue spell Erode is flexible enough to form a larger water cavity(and since it's below sea level it will be filled).
Wikipedia (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geyser)
"...the geyser effect is due to the proximity of magma. Generally, surface water works its way down to an average depth of around 2,000 metres (6,600 ft) where it contacts hot rocks. The resultant boiling of the pressurized water results in the geyser effect of hot water and steam spraying out of the geyser's surface vent (a hydrothermal explosion)."
My first action will be to Morph my two clay golems into shovel golems, specifically made for digging.
My second action will be
sink the land around my geyser, so as to create a sort of donut island with the geyser in the middle, the pool being created by the run off from the geyser.
Edit: I'm assigning my second banner to my digger gollum's since we are working on different tasks this turn.

The shovel golems approach you. One steps forward and kneels. His shovel hand opens to the individual claws. He is reaching forward to receive something.

Good suggestions so far for funny minor spell overshots. I could use a LOT more.

Notice how this post has a slight green tint to it it's because he's built up a lot of green energy. Yours will still be pretty black but I still want you to do it.like this?
Yes, though you don't have 50 red because you get red in increments of 15.
Would you like to link to an image of a hat you have in mind?I'll look around a bit for an image; I am willing to follow Fauxhat anywhere on My Island but not beyond for now.
The doppelganger walked away so you are willing to follow it wherever it goes? I will assume not if I don't hear back.

It works like this:I was unaware you could do that.Code: [Select]this is black this is yellow this is still black
Also "Glitch"
There was no mention of color in the results of my last post. If there was no color gained than it would be mentioned (as it was in the player after me) and which color I gained ought to be specified as my "lowest color" is currently tied.
If your spell had a # by it, it worked and you gained 15 of that color. If not(3, 2, 1) no color gain. This is now going to be assumed knowledge.Your choice on a tie. To build on this statement, spells will always give color if something PFM* happened, so unless it was a "dud". One more thing, misfire will still be a same type spell, so same color.
Move to the lakeand commune with any NPC's there.((This should not incur any initiative penalties, should it? Both grey actions))

..And you changed your avatar to a flat line. Makes me worried..Made me lol.

"oh no"Doubt you can do that. This game, though simple, is not minimalist. That action is beyond the normal person's limits AND not allowed by the rules or context of the game.
telepatcally call the mothership (yes it can travel interdimensionally)

Try Sink again, once again at my northwest. Wave to the wizard in distance (tophat, right?). Also, in which direction is he?
0 red, 0 green, 15 blue, right? Also, is there a unit for color? Paint? Spectra? Spectra? Colour?
((also, your art really is awesome roseheart. Good pics. Much props.))
So I am probably going to have a commune phase, and action resolution phase. Not sure how long either will be but I promise no sooner than 12 hours to give everyone a chance.
(Ocean do you really want to wave him down? Counts as a commune action instead of doing sink.)
..And you changed your avatar to a flat line. Makes me worried..

Oy yeah. In an alternate universe... Your tome... Was hit by lightning..
(forgot to remove that)
I missed the weekend. Anything interesting happened?
Ill post more soon.
Well congrats. You just cast glitch.Didn't realize it. You don't have to give me anything for it. It's not like there's a lightning-based spell or anything. Hmm.. though it does make me think.. give me some time, and I'll explain what I'm thinking of.
Roseheart, I was beginning to wonder about the limits of Blessing, so I thought up some potential examples. Are they easily within limits, or would they require some color sacrifice?Morph already includes this, no Blessing needed.
-gives a clay golem Morphed into a animal shape actual life, becoming said animal they were shaped as.
-gives the ability to become a merman in water, allowing for quicker travel
-gives a gate the ability to link with another chosen gate, allowing one two warp from one to another.
-gives a gate the power to turn those who walk through it into birds for an amount of time, allowing quick travel to anywhere on the map.
Enhanced by peaceful surroundings and tensions in Zenland. This may be a bit more important than was emphasized here. If negative entities cantaminate the... "zen" of Zenland, this won't be as effortless than it might be otherwise.
you may take your Clay Golems and turn them into a new type of unit. Make note of its new strengths and weaknesses(one must justify the other). That definition is quite broad, is it not?
"A trickster ey? let's see if he is as tricky as this old fool." Ask gloven to point me in the direction of the doppelganger, and prepare for a battle of wits. You find the newcomer, OceanSoul. (You may continue west as a mid-update, talking to other mages is always free)
"sigh back to step one"You journey north. You come to the northeast corner. It is barren on all sides as far as anyone can see. Except little hints far far off dotting the horizon.
rename ufo mound to portal mound and go to an unclaimed corner
Run away from the hostile Golem, and tell my others to attack it.BANNER 1: FLEE HOSTILE, ATTACK IF OBSTRUCTED
Try Sink again, once again at my northwest. Wave to the wizard in distance (tophat, right?).The man with the funny hat continued west, and the land you wanted to play with was then open.I'd only meant it as a brief "Hi". If I can't also spell, I'll just use Sink as intended
"H E L P M E" Run towards Gloven
Could one even enter the vortex safely? Was there even a risk of danger? He tried his best to analyze the nature and limits of the vortex.Upon closer inspection, it can be seen..............
Juggle back to red and cast golem as I pass Ocean Soul's lake. Use my highest possible magnitude. (2 I think?)Instead of finishing your journey west right away, you take time to preform a spell at the lake.
Well, that was a mess, but at least I'm a fool now. Speaking of which, do you know what My Island needs? A hat! Cast Sink and use it to create a waterway-copy of my hat above it.Nothing happens. (no spell burn or color gain)
Cast claim around My Island.
"And for your bravery, you are to be presented with me, the coveted 'Juice Box being thrown at a guy in a sweatshirt' metal. Congradulations!"

Note to self- When the hole "Fauxhat" thing is done with, use Reveal to make my robes half-Hoodie. Pockets and zipper included.

In case you class shift, you can do it then. Otherwise you will probably need to stop the rains. (still body of water requirement)
I think I said you'd be able to do it IN the rain but I changed my mind.
Um... complete my spell?
Red=60 Green=0 Blue=60
Helmacon, your spell didn't come through because you only PRE - formed it so far. You've done the part that comes before actually performing the spell. Next turn, you should be able to cast it wish a small positive modifier, maybe.
Wait.. when did preparing spells become a thing?QuoteUpdate before this.
Spiritual successor to ”initiative" which was dropped.
I suppose I will that actually it seems fine.
If someone doesn't post a turn after trying to do a spell that was a dud(but not an eventful failure of some kind),
I will have them try again.
"Well, then you have my thanks. Mind telling me where I am?"
This is my little part of the world. Haven't even given it a name yet. My Sink spell got a little too powerful, and created this water vortex right here...well, it WAS here. The simple man has nothing to add, nor contend with the mage's reply of the question asked.

EDIT: Ok what? I read back over the updates and now i'm even more confused. I thought spell burn was the successor to initiative, but I didn't have any spell burn. I haven't cast a spell since I changed the weather a bunch of updates ago. When did prep become a thing? The spell book and OP's don't mention spellburn or initiative at all. I'M SO LOST!
Some spells are obsolete, and I haven't had time to update them. However some are new: chant(pay a spell's burn before casting). And once each spell has a basic(bold) and advanced text, you'll know they are up to date again.

Cast Landmark on the hill to claim it as your own. Then, examine the hollow geode.Geode Hill is ordinary, on the outside. Inside you watch your step as a million million tiny, and medium, and massive crystal shards point in on you. There is.. music in here. It is also bright from reflected light.. and maybe some glow from the crystals themselves. As the wind has some strange effect on them a whisper can be heard. Almost making.. but not quite.. tanglible words.I'll name it Geode Hill.
Order golems to build a small house for me.They get to work on making your cabin home in the center of Donut Isle. You help aswell.
