ABOUT
FORUM RTS is a game where players create teams of units and go to battle with them, with units being created/recruited on the battlefield using the precious recrource...... fudge :D

Whatever needs a Virginia list probably doesn't need it. Maybe you could provide a few examples of things on the list, and Roseheart can make up similar things that could REASONABLY be on that list when it would've been used?

If I could rewind time. Which I can't and I am happy to host things as they are going. But if I could rewind time I would ask everybody not to reveal what kind of units they had then I would just do a three-way free-for-all and nobody would know who is who.

Here's a pretty messed-up idea. What would people think of swapping units to keep it secret who's who? Would anybody be broken hearted? We don't have to do it that way.

I envision BeastMasters as wearing an animal pelt, with thick fur clothing on legs and feet, while BeastMothers wear fur cloaks, simple dresses, and a wooden staff.

..Wow, crazyabe, seems pretty powerful. Queen would be VERY hard to take down, and it's rank would barely matter. Maybe, if it needs balancing, the final stage can be rolled for when the larva is built/summoned, and that adds to the build time.

And Rose, that might work. Feel sorta close with my new creations, though, so I would have a LITTLE heartbreak.

Well, we might be fairly attached to our builds... I'll go with it if OceanSoul and crazyabe want to go with it, but it's not my preference.

Well, 4 way solves one problem(positioning of players, this way we can have one per corner of map. Though you might want to make the map larger.)

Appearances:
Arcanters, Excanters, and Zarcanters are cultists, wearing various colors of robes, getting more and more runes in their robes as they rank up.
Researchers look like Excanters, but with large books and quills.
Sacrifices are goats.

Puppy guard, I now know another reason why Rose initially wanted our teams spoilered: that is, countering another team. Probably makes your units more slower to build/summon than it's worth, though.

Also, FOU, I felt.. proud, weirdly..that you wanted to use that list of aspects. Probably because of my own contributions to it.

It is a mobile factory. it opens a portal to the remnant dimension, allowing remnant units to come through.

This requires food per unit coming through the portal.

Ive realized i do not care to track a million(or even 20 per team) seperate HPs, mana, ext.

So HP resets each turn on all units.

In other words, there is no point in having units for healing, right? Also, his Queen will be very hard to kill, then. Maybe just refresh the HP of low-health units (20 below, for example).

Healing will still be useful within a single round to keep units alive.

I'm not too worried about the high HP units because you both have tactics to completely ignore HP.

So, I just thought of a potential game mode. Essentially, it would be a random draft of player-made units. All players create 5 miscellaneous units, and they are randomly distributed among the players for the game. Do you think this could work, Roseheart?

Well I would mention a pick draft would be better. Because of synergy. (things that go good together) if I was going to do something similar it would be that both or all players see all the units and then can take turns picking. They each have a number of points to spend on units and then fill out their team, They can counter picks to the previous pick and so on.

And can I hear some applaud for a Redneck Mech deck?

And then(back to pick selection), you could sell off units you didn't want to use for starting resources. That way you can make pics to foil the opponent but you don't actually have to be stuck with them in the game.

Hm. So basically:
Bunch of players make bunch of units.
2 players bid on 5 units of their choice using points.
Game begins.

Neat.

I was also thinking this would be fun as a hitman assassin thing where you just customize and create one unit and go around trying to find and kill each other. Be a lot shorter to which would might be nice.
Interesting, but probably best as a different game.

I feel like being asked to the prom while only taking a couple dance classes.

Well if there's a number of points assigned to units then they could potentially take more than five different kinds. Or less if they went all highpoint units.

Then, something tells me it should be somewhat easier to summon the higher-tier units...

Also, I was wondering: Though we are only able to summon five type of units each in battle, would we be allowed to have more types of units listed for our team, though they only enter the battle by special circumstances? Specifically, I was considering a team whose members could fuse into stronger units with shared characteristics of the two.

I will assume move commands are simply move commands. If you want them to change course and attack or use a range attack, say so. "move here" "attack here"
Mention targets to prioritize when needed.

This is mostly directed at Ocean. But applies to both.

If you want a unit to face a specific direction.. Just say which direction you want them to turn from where they are  at. This maybe hard to communicate but I'll try to clarify.

From where they are say which direction you want them to face. I mean if there's a specific Landmark or something very specific on the map then sure you can say they face that. But do not tell them to face the Northeast area or whatever because it can just get confusing especially when it's different then what it would be for them to face that way.

So if the place where you want them to look is Northwest of where they currently are then say face Northwest. (NW, ect)

It's impossible for any units to be OP in this game.

Not because I balance it which I to some extent try to do. Higher-tier cards units take longer to access.

No, really the more important thing is that I call that "exciting". Which heavily outweighs balance in a game like this.

OOC: An attack will be the END of a unit's turn.

Move: move a unit ignoring enemy units.

Attack: move a unit and move into attack range when an enemy spotted. (won't use special abilities only very basic attacks)

Defend: unit stays put and attacks an enemy unit if it comes into range. (it will take ranged fire without responding if it can't reach from where it is)

Hold: Stays put and won't attack.

Processor: Shrine, with some beastly idol on it.
Workers: Were-Beasts of certain small species, like rabbits, mice, possibly cats, butterflies, chickens, etc.

I have an idea plan to make use of all that extra creativity floating around. Im going to invite everyone to make units to help the players!

Make either:

Insect
Werebeast

And put them in a spoiler! Mark it with one of those two titles.

Players will be able to buy them with fudge. Players can look at ones made for them(but NOT for the other team!). These will be able to be made at any tier.

• You now must move adjacent to a fudge pool(rather than attack) to claim.

• You can trade a unit for another at any structure you own. You must pay 50 fudge times its' tier.

• Factory: new name for food/income buildings. Units now come from these!! You can choose where to build a factory. (max # reduced 5->4)
You can destroy one of your factories for 50 fudge.
You cannot make a new factory the turn after one was destroyed.

• Bonus units: will only come in to play- if more ppl submit them!

• You can now upgrade individual unit's damage(+2) or armor(+1): armor ignores its' pts in damage. 100 fudge that doubles each level.

• The dots are your workers! If your unit or an enemy ends the turn on their path, you temporarily wont recieve income. You can only build units(or swap) at a factory that is recieving. You will recieve 5 less fudge for each water tile workers must cross.

• There is a hidden building-attack stat all units have, which is 10 - move. A structure must take 5 structure-damage to be destroyed. Within a turn. Destroyed units have their structure damage from that turn nulled. A base has armor equal to the number of its' owner's factories. A factory has armor equal to the number of units belonging to the owner by it. If a unit passed over cliffs or water, it cannot then attack a structure that turn.

FYI you cannot build factories on top of water or forests or cliffs.

I definitely think I'm going to allow people to swap a unit for a defensive structure in the next game...

Edit: actually I think I have a better idea.... And I might be able to implement it soon...

2.0.2 Rules
Lose Conditions:
A. Base Destroyed
B. No units twice in a row
C. No factories and not enough to build one

Units are built at their type of factory.
Resources are delivered to the base.
When you upgrade your base you can build one factory, and you can change all factory types.
