I've been writing this on Reddit for over a month now, and I thought some of you guys might appreciate it. Here's the synopsis:
The Magineer is an ongoing story about Ethan West, a physicist and engineer from a futuristic world who suddenly finds himself on a battlefield, stuck between two fantastical armies in a parallel reality after an experiment gone awry.
This is a story about the Science of Magic, and as Ethan is about to find out: any sufficiently simple magic is indistinguishable from technology.

All comments and criticism welcome. Also note that starting with chapter 19, the writing style changes significantly because that's when I decided to collaborate with a co-author to help me flesh the story out. :)
