Is it currently possible to have an URW style gameplay now? Building a home, crafting items and hunting I mean.

It's not as in-depth and more limited, but currently adventure mode has some element of what can be found in UnrealWorld since 43.xx
Building things :

Crafting has been there since a while (but was only about making sharp rocks), but has been very slightly expanded with more to craft but still could use more development to at least be on par with fortress mode.

Hunting and butchering or fruit gathering for eating and the drinking water has always been possible.
Farming with planting and farm maintenance isn't in adventure mode (hopefully will be in the future ?)

Interesting, I really like URW - with some mods I am able to live as a metalsmith/farmer/fisherman, which is quite zen to play. Wish there was a possibility to farm, or scoop lakes for ore and then convert it to various items, but here's hoping the adv mode will become more polished in the future.

UnrealWorld is indeed a brillant and fantastic game.
Hopefully adventure mode will get some more development in the future once the current feature Toady is working on (the myth generator) will be completed.

Mythgen will include adv mode spells, though.
