I just fought all the way through a vault with a pathetic Undead Army that got lost half-way through, but there's nothing at the bottom.
Just a giant empty room after toggling all levers. Are some vaults just, empty? Or what did I miss?
Legends indicates an artefact was stored there too, but naffin' there.

It could just be a case of the game fucking up the generation, stuff in the wrong place or being inaccessible. Keep looking around, maybe they are elsewhere or there is more to be explored.

I heard a lot about that too, so I "reveal"ed the area, then looked up & down the whole place. I just, am not seeing it. Even in the short area around in the caverns.
Ah well. I'll do another reveal sweep to see. I did see one Attendant fused in the middle of a Wall layer, which was odd. But nothing else out of the ordinary... Thanks for the fast response anyway!
Edit: Well, the main hall where I thought the artefact'd be (behind the final Gate Bar lock), there is no roof leading it to leak into the Cavern layer. Does that mean... the guy chillin' there could've taken off? With the slab? Eughghghg...

I've had the same problem. The legends said the slab was supposed to be there, the artifact object even had the site id corresponding to the vault in it. But the slab didn't load and leaving and coming back didn't change anything. I have no idea.
